I have trusted Dr. Washatka with my animals for years, and he remains the standard I compare every other vet to. Since he moved across town, I haven’t found the same level of care near me. I haven’t made it to his new clinic yet, but I am absolutely finding a way to get there because he’s worth the drive. Dr. Wasaka isn’t just knowledgeable — he practices medicine with common sense, experience, and respect. He doesn’t order unnecessary tests, and he treats pet parents as partners, listening closely to what we’ve observed and what’s worked for our animals in the past. His instincts are excellent, and he balances textbook knowledge with real-world judgment — a rare combination these days. My daughter, my best friend, and my parents all rely on him too. When multiple generations and households trust the same veterinarian, that says everything about his care. If you want a vet who is thoughtful, experienced, practical, and truly invested in your pet’s well-being, Dr. Wasaka is worth going out of your way for!!!

Could not recommend City Vet White Rock any more highly. They took such amazing care of both of our dogs Etta and Penelope and we will be forever grateful of how thoroughly they took care of our fur babies whether it was from catching a mast cell tumor that another vet clinic missed, dental surgery for a fractured tooth, GI issues, and being on top of the ball with anything and everything else our dogs needed! If you want a vet where your pet can walk in and the staff instantly make you feel like family instead of a patient, definitely check out City Vet White Rock! - Bilal Ahmad, MD

I can’t say enough good things about CityVet White Rock and Dr. Chaffin! She is absolutely amazing with my dog; she literally gets down on the floor to just love on her for the first few minutes of every visit. It’s so heartwarming to see a vet who truly loves what she does. Dr. Chaffin is not only incredibly kind but also so knowledgeable and thorough. I always leave feeling confident that my dog is getting the very best care. Recently, the office and Dr. Chaffin even went out of their way to help me navigate my insurance, which ended up saving me over $200! The whole team truly goes above and beyond. I’m so grateful to have found such a caring and dedicated vet clinic. Highly recommend! 🐾

My dogs have been going to City Vet for 6 years (Oak Lawn then moved and currently at this Lakewood location). The vets, techs amd everyone there are always so kind and loving. Something horrible happened to my senior dog and due to my availability and it being a Saturday I had to find another vet. It was a HORRIBLE experience. Cityvet was able to get him in Monday immediately. Dr. Farr is AMAZING. She was so calm, knowledgeable and had all the answers. I had hope again that he will be ok!!! She Even sent me a link to a liver supplement to be proactive as he's a senior dog. She called me less than 24hours later to discuss his blood work and stool test (everything was awesome). There was some elevated marker but she was so calm and said it was nothing to worry about (once again, her calm demeanor and knowledge kept me calm and gave us hope). The other vet tried to sell me $1500worth of tests BEFORE the vet even saw him. CityVet never tries to do any of that orbuse any sales tactics-in fact, they always find the most cost effective option if blood work needs to be done. And long story short, putting him down or letting him live his final moments was the other vet's recommendations. Thank God for Dr. Farr-my senior dog is back to normal and healthy. It made me realize just how amazing CityVet is and it's nice to be able to go to any location and they will have your dogs paperwork and history in their system!
