How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Chastain Veterinary Medical Group

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

A friend brought me here for my Frenchie. He’s a service animal. They went above and beyond m expectations. And I’ve gone to an other 24hr emergency vet very well known. I am very impressed of their caring and attentiveness, and professionalism. My frenchie has a new VET HOME 🤩 neutering cancer services and work with animal cruelty service animals

Everyone who works here is amazing. Every visit is filled with kind techs and Dr's. After the lost of my foster kitty, Dr. Sue gave me a call to check on me. Later we received a card signed by the whole staff. This practice is also not owned by a corporation.

It you have a reptile, STAY AWAY FROM HERE! I came in with my reptile multiple times to get help with signs of mouth rot and possible vitamin a deficiency. The first time, i was told "it didn't look like he had it". because i was cleaning his mouth. The second time they removed sperm plugs, and ripped off one of his toe nails in the process. The vet said they didn't wanna throw random antibiotics at the problem if they weren't going to help. The third time i came in, they were supposed to fully remove the sperm plug they couldn't get last time, and talk about antibiotics because he was still showing signs of stomatitis. They didn't remove the sperm plug. i was told that i just needed to "raise the humidity" and sometimes reptiles “just stop eating and need to be hand fed for the rest of their lives”. I asked about antibiotics and i was told they weren't needed because his mouth was "only a little inflamed" Stomatitis CANNOT be ignored, it NEEDS antibiotics like baytril because it's a bacterial infection. I don't know why they couldn't just say that they weren't equipped with dealing with what was wrong, but now i have to find another vet to try and help him if it's not too late since it can spread to the rest of the organs and kill them!!
