How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I took my senior dog here and after he passed brought in my new puppy. Everyone is SO kind, caring, informative. They are very transparent on price ontop of being super affordable. You know what you're paying before any treatment. I also have pet insurance. They are great with getting you the visit Note to submit to your pets insurance for Reimbursement. I had my notes a couple hours after the appointment and was able to file my claim. 10/10 definitely a great place to bring your pets.

To see a vet without a pet insurance is a daunting challenge for me. The tech received me and explained to me in detail what I can get. I chose the needed. For the surgeries I couldn’t afford, she gave the contact. She cares not just for the money. She is an angel.

Just went here for the first time and I really liked it. Dr. Tatum and the tech provided great service. I feel like they truly listened, explained everything in detail, gave me options and expectations, didn't make me feel rushed (this has become a rarity) and were kind to me and my dog. I will definitely keep coming here.

Not a fan of the attitude I received when picking up my dog’s flea meds. I was accused of returning meds and I was accused of always doing this. I have only been to this location twice once because my dog was sick and second time for a recheck up. I have never returned meds and they made look like a liar. I have never had such poor service and it took 30 mins for someone to help. I am a busy woman and work a lot of hours and don’t have time to be accused and be treated so poorly in my experience I will find a better vet to take all 4 dogs too. Don’t waste your time or money on this service to be treated like a liar and made accusation that I never did. I will never return to this place.

Imagine this, ur cat is having problems with peeing so u go to your local vet to try and see whats wrong, your told you have to do testing on your cats pee and you pay around 164$ for them to put shots AND the test. And the only reason why we had to do it at the house was because they couldn't get pee from them there. (Which means if they would have got in the pee there they would have never charged us the extra $60 which is making this whole situation) So when we came again to give the pee the wanted to charge ANOTHER 60$ for the pee to analyze after we were told that, thats what we paid the 160$ for. They tried to say they charged that much for the visit when we have a coupon for first time visits. We will be calling vetco helplines and getting more help there. Please think twice before going to any of these places because ALOT of them are just money hungry.
