How to Save Money at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
It’s important to have a good experience when going to vet appointments. Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital provides the excellent care that we were looking for. My dogs & I love this animal hospital! In the past, my pit bull, Bubba, never liked going to the vet. But the staff here made him feel very comfortable & less anxious about being examined, getting vaccinated, & getting blood drawn. The two doctors & technicians are excellent & take their time with my dogs whenever we have appointments. The communication with estimates & answering my questions is always an easy process. The prices are great! I give five stars to this animal hospital!

They take care of all 3 of my dogs. They are all very sweet. Never disappointed! They are very patient and answer all questions and they , have never left me ,feeling stupid for asking too many, as other vets have made me feel in the past. Highly recommended!!

The office staff has always been friendly and courteous. We have never had to wait long. The exam room staff have always been kind, patient and knowledgeable. The best part is they are located right in my neighborhood, which has always been very convenient.

My dog Zeus has been coming here since he was young the professionalism and love from this hospital has depreciated. Dr. John White and his vet techs Aurora and Brianna should NOT be near animals. My dog has high anxiety regarding his nails. On 05/10/24 the vet techs Brianna and Aurora knew he was having a stressful time but wanted to pat his head hard while restraining him knowing he’s scared and also careless as ever with putting him on the lift tables so high where he fell off almost hurting himself, truly ridiculous. The next occasion 05/15/24 since they weren’t able to trim his nails I had to schedule for him to get sedated (my first time EVER sedating and this is my LAST). They got him down but when he was waking up is when it got SCARY his eyes were dilated wide open like googly eyes, urinating and defecting in the room while also whining and crying. I knew in my gut this wasn’t right but they were trying to assure me it was normal but they couldn’t convince me especially since they all seemed scared and not confident as if they were guilty of something. *There was also no consent form for sedation* so if I do more research and find out y’all are liable for negligence or malpractice just know I will be moving accordingly because no animal should be treated like this. My dog might be just another ordinary animal that comes in the office but to me he’s family. Not only was this traumatic for me but also for Zeus as well. If Dr. Ingrid was there none of this treatment would’ve happened. Dr. White barely came in the room to check in, all he did was have the techs talk to me. How do you all still have licenses. RIDICULOUS I will never come back and if you value your animals lives and safety I would advise you to not bring them here too.

Took both babies in for up date on shots; I just knew my 6 month old would show out but, the assistant was talking to J.D.(boy puppy) while the doctor gave him his shot...loved it!
