How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Cherry Valley Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

It appears that this clinic is permanetely closed. We called last Friday, March 13 to make an appointment for our dog who is a regular patient and their phone was disabled. We drove to their location 29 S 29th St. in Newark and their office is up for rent and is totally empty. No sign on the door saying they moved, nothing. Just a for rent sign. We've been with them for over 10 years but received no notification that they were closing. Hope nothing tragic happened to Dr. Burgin.

They killled our cat, who was only 9. After they misplaced/lost thyroid test results, this vet overdosed him on fluids during an ensuing emergency visit and sent him home with us instead of to a pet hospital. He died horribly/painfully. We switched vets, and they could not even manage to find/send records to our new clinic after several requests. This is a poor excuse for a veterinary operation. If you love your pet, please go elsewhere. (Client from 2015-2017)

Dr. Burgin and her staff are amazing! She has been our Vet for 20 years and 5 animals. The love an compassion she and her staff show is amazing! Your not a number your a person and your pet is their pet.

Not knowing this clinic moved locations, the old address is still the same online and I ended up driving to the old location. When I call to find out the new location, they said they knew the old address had not been changed and that it automatically changes when you put it in the gps. Ummm, no, that’s not how a gps works. The receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and I personally would never go to a place where they’re so arrogant that when they’re wrong they can’t admit it and be rude on top of it.

This clinic is probably closed permanently. We tried to call and ask for our cats records but the line didn't work, the office space is being used by a different company. We had no notification that they were closed which is not very professional. If you are looking for this clinic don't bother.
