How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Medina Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Medina Vet was my vet for over 12 years. Dr Parker was always kind and considerate for my cats and dogs. I knew she was no longer at the Medina office but we made an appointment to have our dog put down due to his suffering. Appointment at 3 , sat in waiting area for 1 hour with our pet.. the vet and tech could not get an iv started. Kept hearing him cry out. Tried a sedative that we waited another 20 minutes. The Vet ( not her fault) was not cleared to get narcotics out. So almost 2 hours later Ozzy was finally at peace. The girls were very apologetic but inexcusable for this corporation. We were told she was a "Relief" Vet. Stay away from this new corporate Vet Clinic.

The doctor not only cares for our beloved dog named Bacon, but she took in our 8 week old chicken who hurt its leg unexpectedly even when she was extremely busy. She is very thorough, thoughtful and caring. I highly recommend this place. Been going to them for years. They were very helpful and loving when we had to put our older beloved dog down too. They allowed our whole large family of 8 to say goodbye, made the transition very peaceful with younger children and went above and beyond with plaque of his paw prints that came with his ashes in a very nice sturdy box so we can always display. List goes on. They are busy, but they are busy for a reason.
