How to Save Money at Phillips Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

How many times are you allowed to review a place? Well, I’ll keep doing it as much as Google will let me. I LOVE Phillips! They do a great job taking care of my pets, their staff are friendly and accommodating, and their facility is clean and welcoming. I’ve done everything here from surgery to vaccines and I have felt happy with the service i received every time! Everything is reasonably priced too - I’ve never felt like they were overpricing services or being shady. They’re always up front and help you figure out what’s best for your animals and your wallet.

I can't say enough great things about Dr Jordan and the staff. We've been using them for over 16 years and they are so accommodating and truly seem to care. We've had to use their emergency number a few times and I'm so grateful they offer these resources for us!

Retired u s army .myself and Sgt colt .I adopted the Sgt after my retirement do to injuries after 18 years .and was able to take on the responsibility of a m w d I contacted the the training base in lockland was told how to apply to the 37 th facility .it worked out and long story short I brought home a 100 lb. G s d the best friend I could have asked for he had hip problems and a torn a c l .and a partial. A lot of civilians think the government covers the cost or the v a this is not true .he has had a rough time .but we walk about 4 miles a day .for he and I this is very rewarding .I'm not perfect for a old Sargent neather Sgt colt .we went to philips when they had a grad opening of new hosp in our neighborhood it was close and was welcomed had his records sent from his first civilian vet that was great to him .was not impressed with the way this was handled but no harm this year I noticed a tooth that didn't look right he had a yearly was notified by phone shots due .went in not at all friendly .was seen by Alisa she was friendly till she got to close to me the Sgt snapped a warning. Went down hill from there scheduled at date to have tooth extraction .was called two days before by someone that dident know our name or phone number but she called .I have part on recording .must have told he boss that I cussed at her this Is ridiculous when I'm trusting them with a dog that's worth more then there car .Jordan philips called next day and talked to me like I was a kid I'm 68 not a good conversation . The surgery was still on next day the girl calls back and asks the same questions .I'm not very happy but not a nasty word out of my mouth just scarsom. So another call from Jordan .says I was nasty to her says we need to part ways .what in the world. I read is information about him adoptioning two pit bulls o boy I thought they were stafecher terriers. But this must make him feel big then I find out he has no respect for service members ..I wish I had found out how WOKE they were before I and my friend suffered further from ther incompetence.
