How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Akron Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

these guys are great. had them take care of our two cats and dog for the last 4 hours. could always rely on practical advice, honest assessments and great service. they went above and beyond to assist with getting our animals ready for an international move. can’t recommend enough.

They made my Wally feel safe, educated me on some things, and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Furthermore, it was fast and easy with friendly staff.

I had 4 pitbulls, I took my first one here they were so good with him. My fur baby loves them, he couldn't wait to go for another visit. Best place to take your fur babies to.

I recently had my poor sick dog euthanized at this clinic. My dog was not given a sedative shot before the final euthanasia shot. The AVMA recommends that a sedative shot be given. I watched as my dog was NOT gently euthanized. No compassion was shown and my dog appeared obviously distressed! I was never given an answer to my question of why my dog was not given a sedative shot. Instead the staff person was downright nasty and rude and told me to "go elsewhere" since I was "always complaining". There are other clinics in the area who allow pet parents in the exam room with their pets so they can observe how their pets are being handled. This clinic does not, although covid restrictions have been relaxed. My dogs always hated coming to this clinic! So, good riddance to this place! I definitely do not recommend this clinic and would give them a zero star rating if it was possible.
