How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Agape Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We have been going here for many years. They have taken care of our many pets, and we have never had any problems or issues. The staff has always been professional and kind. I think they are knowledgeable and caring. I would highly recommend them. We recently had our 5-year-old dog there for minor surgery to remove a lesion from her front leg. It was thought to be cancer because the growth appeared to look unusual. They got her right in and removed it, and everything went smooth. Our girl was treated great. No cancer!

I waited a while before doing this review... Between being broken and livid I wanted to make sure I worded it right. My dog had cluster seizures and passed away in may. I was recommended to call agape. I did. Mind you, I was distraught. I just lost one of my best friends, my fur baby. They told me the price and told me I could bring him down. After wrapping him in a sheet and getting him in my car I traveled from Watkins Glen to horseheads to get my dog cremated. Again, I was distraught. I called them crying and I thought these were caring people. I arrived they came out w a stretcher and grabbed my dog. I was told the sheet he was wrapped in would be washed and returned to me. I did my paperwork I left. Once I left, I saw at the bottom of the paper where I could've got his paw print. I called back as soon as I could but was told it was too late. Being that I was an emotional wreck, I feel like they could've stayed that to me while I was in the building. Just like they discussed w me payments and glady took the payment. I didn't even get a hair clipping either. When they called and told me I could pick him up I asked for the sheet the lady said she would give back to me.. the lady who was there barely even looked and told me she couldn't find. So no paw print, no hair clipping, no sheet. I'm happy that I have my fur babys ashes. But I am pissed with the way they went about things. I'm hurt that ppl who work w animals couldn't see how distraught I was and make sure they covered everything like they covered payment. I'm angry that I chose them to deal with such a sensitive situation. And to me it makes me feel like what everyone says is true. Vets don't care about anything but making money. They got their payment on the spot. And couldn't even cover simple things or do what they said they would. They made a very hurtful situation for me worse. So would I recommend them to anyone, definitely not. I don't feel like they deal w people well. They def didn't do what they said they would. And they showed me the only thing they truly cared about was getting paid. I hate these people.

Hours are hours but lack of care with an hour and a half left until you close. But was able to post a video of their UPS drivers last visit and dress up a cat. Thank you for letting us know that after 20 years our business is valued else where.

They’re actually wonderful, get back to be quick, and my senior dog doesn’t have anxiety with them!
