How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Magnolia Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We started bringing our cat here earlier this year and were happy the first two visits. He needed an oral surgery which they completed quickly and affordably. We then suspected our cat may be developing hyperthyroidism so we went back in for some blood work about 2 months ago that cost us about $250. We have still not gotten the results, even after calling them multiple times and being extremely patient since they only had one doctor at the time. I would recommend this place for check up appointments only. If your pet needs more than that, I'd go somewhere else.

Dr. Jon is truly the best. We’ve seen him for years with both of our dogs, and he has helped us with some really challenging issues with one of them. You can tell he loves every animal he sees and his staff works really hard to give high quality care at really reasonable prices. We recommend Dr. Jon to anyone!

This place is great! My puppy had to have surgery and magnolia offered me the best quite by far. They did an exceptional job. I was so impressed with services and the staffs professionalism that I dropped my Petsmart Banfield vet membership and started going here. Ive been a member here nearly 2 years now and every visit is always pleasant.

Friendly/knowledge staff, clean facility, super up front about pricing and policies. If you get an appointment in the morning it's goes super fast. If you choose later in the day you run the risk of them having a bunch of emergencies that push your nonemergency appointment back. So don't have anything important to do after your own appointment. (I appreciate them willing to fit in emergencies, and they told/apologized to me as I waited) I was recommended this office by both my in laws, and my husband's coworker. So glad to be part of the Magnolia family

We came here last year when our Doberman had a really bad ear infection. He wasn't a patient of theirs, we had been going to Knightdale Animal Hospital for 2 years but when I called to get him an appointment they said they couldn't do a walk in or had any appointments until the following week. It was sad and disappointing knowing he was in pain that they couldn't fit him in. After calling several places, none of which could see him, I reached out to Magnolia. They were able to get him in the next morning! We never went back to Knightdale Animal Hospital, no business that you are a patient of should tell you it will be at least a week before they can see you. I understand not accepting new patients but not existing patients. Magnolia isn't as fancy as some of the other vet offices, and they are always busy but I would 100% recommend them. Last time I was there they were still enforcing the mask mandate, it irritates me slightly, but the fact that they take care of our dog always and fits him in no matter what, supercedes any frustration of having to wear the mask.
