How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Crown Veterinary Services

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Well. My dog went for a walk today, ran up the stairs and I guess tripped. Limping really bad today again and now panting. I could tell he was in very bad pain. I called our vet and was told 4 hrs. I called 2 other places, nope, and crown vet told me to bring him in. Since it was a walk in emergency, yep, we had to wait 3 hrs total to be seen including after all xrays were taken and looked at. Dr showed me my pets xrays and yep, there it was. A healed fracture of some sort and now we see just why he kept limping off and on for a year and re injuring. My reg vet wouldn't take xrays as I requested, so pretty disappointed there. This Dr Gave 3 meds to take home. Bedrest, no walking, no jumping off anything. Leash to pee and poo. Hes 8 years old so I was expecting anything. Im thankful we took him. They listen, they run tests. Its pricy but im thankful to find the root cause. Will return in 3 weeks to re xray after resting. Charged 155 for er exam, 400 for xrays, 100 for 3 meds. It's ok. Our boy is happily sleeping in a baby pack n play. He doesn't understand but he'll get better. 😪

I unfortunately had to visit them this past week. My pup decided that he wanted to eat some of my dinner and helped himself to one of my tacos. He is on a controlled diet because he gets pancreatic flare ups if he even looks at crumbs. I knew that he would be in pain from that and the taco also had onions in it which I heard was bad for dogs. I called them and told the receptionist my problem. She was calm and kind and recommended that I bring him in. She was up front about their cost and how things would work once I arrived. When I got there they were straight forward with how long it could take. They actually triage pets which I loved. What struck me most about this place was the kindness, honesty and efficiency in which they operated. I didn’t feel pressured to get anything I didn’t want. My pup ended up getting a shot to help with pain and thankfully he has been great. Thank you so much for treating my pup like he was yours.

I felt like the veterinarian (Dr. Washington) really cared and wanted to figure out what was going on with my dog. We got tough news, but she delivered it with great care and compassion. The price was better than we expected as well. I’m so grateful we found Crown Veterinary Services.

This is a late review, but I just wanted to share how amazing this vet hospital is. Two days after they opened I brought my cat in who needed an emergency PU surgery after getting improper care from another vet clinic. I am a college student and was not able to afford the surgery cost at other hospitals in the area that I reached out to. The Vets at Crown discounted the surgery, so I could afford to save my cat’s life. Not only were the vets amazing and very good at their job, all the staff was so welcoming and kind during a very disheartening and scary time. I will never forgot how much they helped me and my cat Cash.

Everyone that was working the night shift were amazing. Very knowledgeable vet. Staff were supper nice to us during that very stressful time. We live a long way from there but if I ever need a vet in an emergency situation I will definitely be going here. Highly recommend this vet office. Our vet that we saw later had great things to say about them too. They even sent a very sweet card to my mom on the loss of her dog.
