I feel so blessed to have met Dr. Gates, I have not met another vet like him. He genuinely cares and has such an amazing ability to thoughtfully determine the best path to diagnose and treat. I am so impressed with his knowledge and expertise. He is incredibly kind and went above and beyond with the care and support of my cats. The staff that work at Bush Lake Pet Hospital have also been incredibly kind and supportive. Kallie also went above and beyond with her genuine care and support. I can't say enough good things about Bush Lake Pet Hospital. From the moment we walk in, the staff’s warm demeanor and their genuine care for animals shine through. Dr. Gates is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything in detail to me and my husband, which is so reassuring for a “curious” dog mom like me. His patience and gentle approach make all the difference especially because my pup is anxious, and he absolutely loves to extra attention and comforting energy from Dr. Gates. If you are looking for a vet who truly cares, look no further. Highly recommended!

You want to be comfortable bringing your pet in regardless if it is for a routine checkup or something more serious and that is why Bush Lake Pet Hospital is the place to go to. We are very thankful for all the time and effort they have spent with Squirrel so that she can continue to give us this attitude

As a first-time visitor, I had a great experience here with my cat! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond to get ahold of my cat's previous medical records when I wasn't able to provide them. During the exam I felt very comfortable with the conversation, and I felt that my cat was physically handled with a great deal of care and expertise - Dr. Gates located my cat's mystery leg injury in minutes, frankly it was awesome to watch! Overall it was easy to get extremely good care here, and I'd like to take advantage of more services in the future.

Absolutely phenomenal vet for reptiles and exotics. Couldn’t be happier with my visit and would suggest you give them a try. Dr. Gates was extremely kind and understanding of all the nuances in my particular situation. He was also, worth the mention, very VERY knowledgeable. He listened well, was great with handling (my crested gecko) and did a thorough examination that I did NOT feel was reflected in my price. When I got the total I was SHOCKED and I almost wanted to overpay it was just that great of an experience. Regardless of what happens to my pet I will feel at peace knowing this team did, genuinely, all they could to help. Seriously one of the best pet hospitals I’ve been to in the Twin Cities and hands down the best when it comes to reptiles and exotics. Don’t look them over.. you’ll regret it!
