I loved the atmosphere of this place! The animal nurse who helped me was very friendly and kind! The doctor empathized with my concerns and put the wellbeing of my pets first. Overall they seemed to have a very sensitive touch and I appreciate that seeing as my cats mean so much to me! I also had a question about my billing which they quickly resolved. Truly a great experience!

Nice vet, never had any issues but we switched to a new place and it’s over 75% cheaper. This clinic is way over charging. I recommend finding a local clinic instead.

We've been bringing our dogs here for about 4 years. They are very caring and professional. They helped my family say goodbye to our most beloved family member who had cancer with care and compassion.

I have taken my pets here for years. Always had a good experience with the staff. It has gotten prohibitively expensive though. Just an annual exam and vaccines for my healthy dog were over $500.

I adopted an FIV + cat from the KY Humane Society. With the adoption I was told I could take my cat to VCA for his first vet checkup for free. When something is "Free" that should be your first warning sign. The handout the HS game me clearly listed three locations. Two in Louisville and one in Versailles. I called the location for the Highlands (Fairleigh) and asked for an appointment. Got one and when I walk in I am told it was made for the other location out in Fern Creek. Now what they said, of course, is that I called the wrong number. I am willing to accept, always, that I am fallible but I knew there were multiple locations, I knew which location I wanted and I made a point of calling the Highlands one. I have included a photo of the contact info I was given. The highlights were done by the HS not me. I can't imagine how I "Called the other location" when I clearly, and with intention, called the Fairleigh number and said "Highlands" at least twice to make sure. I know places like this will never take responsibility. The veterinary care may be top notch. I can't speak to that, because I could never get past the failure of the telephone staff. I am going to make an appoint with another vet and pay out of pocket for it because a family member gave them a glowing endorsement. So if you adopt from the KHS, beware of this "Free" thing. You get what you pay for, always.
