How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Hometown Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

Thank you, Hometown Animal Hospital, for keeping care of my dog Lilly. I knew I could trust you guys to keep care of my dog and that Lilly would be in great hands. Thanks again, Hometown Animal Hospital, for all you've done for Lilly. I'll see you in the near future for my dogs' future checkups. It was a pleasure doing business with you guys!

They took very good care of my dogs! The vet and staff are extremely kind and spent time trying to make a scared dog comfortable. Very pleased with the tiny incision for a spay on big dogs. Also getting thimerisol free rabies vaccines put my mind at ease. Highly recommend ❤️

I pulled my animals from there because they have a racist employee who mocked my language she thought she put me on hold and my language was the office entertainment other staff members were laughing also I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and took my cat there I was given one price on the phone and charge four times more in person so my husband calls to see why I was charged four times more than what they quoted me and the vet got on the phone and told my husband to lower his tone or he would never be seen in her office so unprofessional my pitbull had been a patient there for 10 years my cat only made two visits but they are a money trap they will do things to your animals without discussing it to you and when you get to the desk they're charging you four or five times more than what they quoted you for I guess you get good treatment if you're a Caucasian only.. I believe they are all prejudiced in that office

Alas I am no longer a customer here. They went to package pricing. You pay for the entire package whether you actually receive everything in it or not. I prefer to pay for the service I am actually receiving for my fur baby and not for what I am not receiving!

Dr. Gary and her staff are always so good with our 3 dogs. We’ve gone here for years and recommend anyone looking for a vet to see her!
