How to Save Money at Integrative Pet Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Our beautiful kitty suffered a stroke during surgery in June 2025. We were suddenly needing to figure out how to care for her and questioned if she would ever be able to walk or have any semblance of a normal life. How do you rehabilitate a cat and where do you go??? With help from our veterinarian, we were directed to the incredibly caring and capable staff at Integrative Pet Care. The building is gorgeous and welcoming, and the doctors and staff are experienced and compassionate. At our first visit in mid July we were given hope, and with each appointment we saw her improve. What strikes me most about our visits is the genuine care the staff have for her. They are invested in her recovery and every improvement is celebrated. When she graduated from therapy the staff was tearful. I will always be grateful to them for showing her love, supporting and encouraging her human family, giving her the chance to live a normal kitty life, and for their help to all animals that enter their office. Thank you, IPC! The pictures I’m posting are of my cat in October 2025. She could not even stand until mid July. Now she’s happily napping, able to groom herself, sitting in our laps, and wanting to play!

We’ve sent three of our fluffiest family members to IPC since 2019 and we don’t want to imagine where we would be without them. From recovering after (multiple) ACL surgeries to providing general quality of life care, IPC has been a lifesaver. All of the staff at IPC is exceptional. The quality of care is excellent. We’re always provided options and guidance. And the post-visit update photos are a treat! Their calm, empathetic, and kind approach gives us confidence that our boys are in the best hands. Even our typically aloof cat seemed to enjoy his visits to IPC, photographic evidence attached. We cannot recommend IPC enough. We’re so grateful to have found them!

IPC helped my dog regain mobility after a partial CCL tear. IPC has been amazing, from teaching us at-home exercises, sharing how-to videos, and writing up step-by-step guidelines for what we should do. They customized a program for us, combining drop-off visits twice a week with an at-home exercise plan, medications and acupuncture. With a lot of work, regular check-ins, amazing communication, and dedication, my pup is able to run again. They discovered tension in his back, which no one else had noticed, and made us aware of a spine condition that my pup has. We were able to treat it early and stay on top of it. Thank you so much, IPC, Dr. Kopecki, Katie, Maureen, and the entire staff. Also, the front desk staff is great and has such positive energy.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the doctors, techs, and supporting staff here at IPC! My senior (6 years old) giant breed (110lbs) girl had a shoulder injury September 2020, pain medication and regenerative therapy were not enough for her to completely heal from it. It broke my heart because she loved running and couldn't do it for months and months. We had weekly therapies at IPC for half a year, Dr. Ridley came up with different rehab plans according to her progress, and the technicians were so amazing at keeping both us and the doctor in the loop on her performance each session. The client care representatives were always so responsive and efficient to coordinate our scheduling or billing questions. My dog loved going there, and we would most definitely keep up with the rehab if we didn't have to move to another state. But just for our sessions here, we see great improvement on her mobility, she's now able to run again and hike with us!! This makes us so happy!! Big shoutout to Katie for her excellent hydro therapy sessions and Renee for her telemedicine at-home exercise demos!!
