How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Piedmont Animal Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I work with a local grooming and boarding facility, so we interact with a lot of vet offices to get records and the like. I have never had a pleasant interaction with this facility, and their unwillingness to provide records on behalf of their clients makes it almost impossible to accept clients whose pets go here. Though the phone is answered by the vet herself, don't let this impress you. I'm convinced it's because she cannot find people to work for her due to her hateful and apathetic bedside manner. I have had to turn clients away who were waiting to be checked in for scheduled services because the vet would currently be with a patient and wouldn't be able to send the required records for a bit. I encourage vets seeing their patients, but why is the vet answering phone calls if they are currently in an appointment? There's other staff for that. I would recommend finding a vet office with that kind of staff. If nothing else, it means that your vet is a tolerable enough person to work with. If you are a pet owner interested in ever having your pet boarded or groomed, I would strongly recommend taking them ANYWHERE else than this place.

1st time using this vet for my 3yo Havenese who had an ear irritation. Dr. Geren was very thorough doing a quick exam including legs, eyes and hips. She provided a prescription which cleared up in the ear problem in a few days. I'll be using this clinic again.

Down to earth vet. First visit. Reasonable price. Vet is not personable and will not be a good fit for all owners but does good work on your pet. Gave discount on a feral

Adopting 2 bonded cats 10 years old...this is an excellent vet who cares deeply for cats! Love this place!

Been going to Dr Geren for about 5 years, and I still feel she is the best! My Beagle likes going there and so do I. She knows what she is doing and what's best for my dog. He has had some problems, but she always knows what to do to fix them. That cat lady that commented, sounds like she needs help, not her cat!!!
