The people here are awesome and understanding. Dr. Wood is amazing, and takes her time to explain what could be wrong and how to proceed. All 4 of my pets love her too!

I've been going here for about 8 years now and frankly it's the only place I trust to give me a well informed medical opinion regarding my dogs needs. Controversial opinion but I trust Dr. J and Dr. Wood more than my own doctors, ha. They genuinely have diverse and well informed experience that they discuss among one another and to pet owners. It's so abundantly clear to me that the entirety of the staff (the office workers, the vet techs) *care* about the health and safety of my fur-family. I've been to many ER vets in the area and I can say with confidence the staff here always get my pets what they need and at a glaring fraction of the cost. Don't get me wrong, this place is always busy, but that's because the people here are busy dedicating their time to the animals in their care.

Shocking service from Dr Woods and Dr J. I have been with Connechusett Animal Hospital for 15 years. I called yesterday and begged for one of the doctors to call me. My dog is very ill and cannot be transported. I just needed some information. I was told no one would call me and I had to make an appointment to bring my dog in. It is the first call I have made in 15 years. There are vets around the world that would call a loyal patient if in need. I tried again today and got the same response. I was told to make an appointment for next week. I told them my dog will have passed by then. Thanks for nothing Connechusett animal hospital. Find yourself a vet that cares...

When I first moved to the neighborhood 5+ years ago. I found this vet and really liked Dr. J and Dr. Wood. There was one reception who was terrific who has since left as well as their administrator. Then I noticed a change. When I would bring my pets for care Dr. J spent more time complaining to me about his aches and pains and less time paying attention to what was going on with my animals. I had one stray kitten that at 4 months of love and care went to be neutered and never made it back alive. I was heartbroken and still gave Dr. J the benefit of the doubt. Then I had a 13 year old stray hound who wasn't gaining weight, had bloat, and all Dr. J did was yell at me to stop worrying about this and that and just feed the dog more. That night I had to rush with the dog to the ER - he had serious gastritis. And a week later I rushed with him again due to tortion. It turned out this dog had metastatic cancer. Regardless - the new vet I go to is 40 minutes away and not readily available. I thought - let's see if he has another vet working with him and I'll try the practice again. I call to check and guess what - they black balled me!!!! I lose 2 pets to their negligence and I am blackballed. I thought to give them another chance that they don't deserve and this really clinched it. They don't care about our pet partners and Dr. J really needs to sell his practice to people who care. He has truly lost his touch and compassion.

Maggie, my sweet little rag doll cat, and I just got home from a very pleasant visit at Connechusett AH. I have been with them several years and never once had any problem with service. The staff today, as in in all the years I have gone there, was very professional, very courteous. It is almost an hour long trip to get to Connechusett Animal Hospital, but it is very much worth it. Thank you all. I am retired, and thus on a narrow income, but find CAH quite reasonable and affordable.
