How to Save Money at Emergency Pet Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I was a little nervous taking my dog here because of some of the reviews but she needed to be seen as my vet was closed over the weekend. The receptionist was nice and took my info while getting me in a room quickly. The nurse was sweet to my hurt pup and they got her back to check her over. The vet came out to explain everything and didn’t try to push any additional testing on me. I was very appreciative of their services and for an emergency vet the fees were reasonable! Glad we went so we could all rest easy over the weekend now that she’s been treated. Thank you!!!

Our fur child was seen last night by Dr. Rebecca and staff for what turned out to be an UTI. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the techs, and the doc...a wonderful experience. Kind, friendly, timely, professional, clean, knowledgeable...took time to explain and give options...no bill padding...made it clear they cared about our dog. Our dog was definitely not his gregarious, sweet self as he was feeling quite ill, and yet everyone took time and care to put him at ease. All procedures and tests were written up and immediately sent to our regular vet who had them as soon as his office opened in the morning. Happy to report our dog is already better today from the treatment and meds, which confirms the diagnosis. Dr. Madison and his team offer the best emergency care. We recommend them without hesitation, and would not go anyplace else for after hour care for our pet family members.

I am absolutely blown away by the extremely kind, professional and effective staff at the Collier county emergency pet hospital. My bulldog was struggling with a bacterial infection and was so unhappy we couldn’t wait until our regular vet opened in the morning. They took us immediately, diagnosed his pain, clipped and cleaned the area and gave us a pain plan and antibiotics for a quick healing. I am so very thankful to Dr Abigail for her fabulous personality and putting us at ease and to Jasmine for her cheerful handling of both me and my husband as we waited for meds. The front desk staff was also helpful and kind! These kind and knowledgeable people will be my go to moving forward when I’m in Naples !! Thank you so much to everyone !!!

The staff is all incredibly friendly in this ER care. It is clean and the rooms are very nice. My Winnie got the treatment she needed and the price was reasonable for a Sunday evening. Thank you to everyone for helping my girl.

Worst, most traumatic vet experience in 35 years of having dogs and cats. Brought my dog in for hyperventilation and atypical behavior. I informed them he has severe anxiety and cannot be in a kennel. They took him for xrays and labs. They returned him to me with blood all over his paws, chest, and hip after they had put him in a kennel without my knowledge or consent. He ripped his own claws out from scratching in the kennel and has a laceration on his tongue. They listened to nothing i said. Animals cannot speak for themselves and it is absolutely disgusting that anyone in the field of veterinary medicine would subject a poor vulnerable creature to this when they have been informed of the animals history. I left to go to a real facility and I would not take my animal back here if it was hit by a car in their parking lot. I would drive across town to a place that is actually concerned about their safety and wellbeing. I understand protocols and regulations but when the patient can’t speak for themselves, you do a disservice to them when you don’t listen to the caretaker who can.
