How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Brought my new kitten Reeses in today since they couldn't get us in at the petsmart location on tarpon bay. He was throwing up. Called this location and was told to bring him in immediately. No wait, the staff was amazing and Dr Monk was awesome. Looking forward to my kitten living a great life with their help.

Dr. Monk and his staff are great. All very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is always clean and quiet, allowing your animal to not be overly-stimulated or stressed out. He is very invested in your animal's well-being, and that is very obvious in his care and interaction/attention to detail with your pet. We have been very happy with Banfield at Bayridge in Naples.

Bottom line, too much turnover in vets and way too much corporate red tape. Lots of times we got recommendations on what big corporate dog food companies and drug companies want to push. It's fine to do monthly plan the first year as a puppy because they cover the majority of the visits up until the neutering. The vet chat feature on the app is helpful as well as Dr. Monk.

⸻ This was my first visit to Banfield with my dog, and it was fantastic. Evalena at the front desk was super friendly and helpful, making the check-in smooth and easy. Caroline, the vet assistant, was kind, patient, and attentive, keeping my dog calm and comfortable the whole time. Dr. Monk was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring, taking the time to answer all my questions. Overall, a great first experience — I’m so glad we came and would definitely recommend this location!

I brought Rocky in on a Friday night around 5 because he was having some stomach issues and diarrhea. They walked me through a few things I could do for him and were very professional when explaining it. I ended up staying later than close and I couldn’t be more happy with how Rocky and I were treated. They had no issue staying past close with me, they made sure they ran a test to make sure that he didn’t have heartworm and gave me treatment for him. Kylie was me assistant in the room and was with me all the way through checking me out and Dr. Monk had no problems answering all the questions I had. We will definitely be back to this location
