As a professional in the pet industry, I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of what can happen to our furry companions. So, by default I bring a certain critical eye to the expectations I have on who cares for my own beloved Houston and Lyra. When coming to South Florida via Washington, DC, one of my first tasks was to find an integrative veterinarian with a like minded approach to feeding fresh or raw human grade food, incorporating integrative medicine, acupuncture, nutraceuticals, and helping to give our pets the strongest immune system and highest quality of life. I started at West Delray Vet (also 5 stars) and was so excited to hear when the Mindful Veterinary Care office was opening as it is a bit closer. The team is wonderful. This past year has been a very emotional year as our little girl Lyra presented with seizures that at times have been quite severe. I knew the incredible gift that Dr. Block, Dr. Patterson and the other amazing vets are, but want to share a specific moment that is so dear in my heart. Lyra was going through a series of multiple seizures each day with some of them being quite violent in how much her little body would shake. As a pet parent I have struggled with knowing is this the time. I have helped others navigate through these difficult decisions, but when it is your own baby, it is so hard. I had a very tearful phone call with Dr. Block and told him I think we may be at that time. Mind you, Lyra was only three at the time. Dr. Block heard me out and then gently encouraged me to hang in there a bit longer that he didn't feel she was there yet and he would help guide me through this process. He further reminded me it can take a few weeks to get the meds regulated when her seizures have been all over the place. I hung in there with her meds and we have been able to get her fairly stabilized. That phone call spoke volumes to who and how these wonderful pet professionals conduct their care. The relief knowing that I have a team helping guide me for what is in Lyra's best interest is enormous. The mission and mindset of Dr. Block, Dr. Patterson and all of the wonderful people who are the integral parts to a successful veterinary practice are what we desire to see. I have referred several neighbors and their furry companions and they have also said the same thing that this is where you want to take your pets.

Amazing! Dr. Patterson was so gentle with my older cat Bella, so was the nurse! I wish I was better with names but everyone was amazing. I love this Vets office, everyone is truly there to help and care for your fur baby, they don’t do anything without giving an estimate and finding the best way for you to do the most for your fur baby. I can’t say enough how happy I am and how much I will be using them as my new veterinary care for my other cat, and my dogs too. Outstanding !

I’ve been taking my 14yo girl to see Dr. Patterson for the past 10 years. We were so excited to bring her to the new location to have acupuncture done to aid with her aging joints. Mindful Vet was so welcoming and the whole facility was kept extremely clean (the windows are so clean you’d almost walk thru them). Dr. Patterson explained the whole process and history of acupuncture as she treated Daisy all while keeping her calm and relaxed throughout. Looking forward to visiting Dr. Patterson and the amazing staff again soon!

Absolutely amazing! Hands down the cleanest veterinarian office I have ever been to. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Dr.Patterson and Dr. Block are fantastic. I’m a VERY nervous dog mom and they have been so patient answering all my questions and concerns for my baby Nala. They are respectful and I love they offer natural alternatives. The prices are reasonable and they never push unnecessary treatments or testing. I feel fortunate to have found this office. Highly recommend!!!!
