How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Care Pet Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I love everything about this Vet clinic! Everyone there is so nice and caring. They always address my pet by name and care for them like they would their own. Easy to get an appointment affordable and one of the few places you can still stay with your pet during the visit. 10 Stars!!!

Friendly staff members who adore every animal that comes through the door. I highly recommend the annual preventative care package for dogs and 6-month for cats. We rescued a feral, near-death kitten last year, and with the 6-month package with neutering, it helped with the cost of ear mites and fleas treatment and all the lab tests. It's still pricey but certainly more cost-effective than paying for each care separately. The vet is seemingly knowledgeable and caring and we have not been disappointed.

They saw our baby shortly after adopting her and probably 5 times since. While she is currently being seen for annual checkups elsewhere, I scheduled an appointment for a Bordetella shot only. After waiting, they came back with and estimate of $185. I declined everything because the dog was current on all vaccinations and tests. They came back with another estimate of $50 and finally, minimum of $37. Again, I scheduled and expected a Bordetella shot only. I'm disappointed that this place does not offer a simple shot anymore. Too bad. So close and convenient.

This IS the best vet in TOWN. BOTH Dr.s are patient, understanding and friendly as are thrice assistants. There are pet plans available as well. I have large cats.they are not intimidated and both cats remained calm which is unusual for my cats.

The butcher of a vet had no experience and cropping ears. He cropped them wrong, taped them wrong and because of that they got infected. Both vets that I brought her to afterwards were in shock how bad they were.He refused to see her anymore. Then refuse to pay the medical bills that I incurred because of his malpractice. As far as intimidating them, after I talked to another vet and told him what he had done is wrong, the vet hid from me(without me making any threats) and sent his un-knowledgeable office manager to tell me that they did no wrong. Afterward I did a little research and found out that there is no formal class that a vet can take for ear cropping. Which means if they don’t work at a major practice where there are mentors they learn by trial and error. Unfortunately my dog was just a practice try for him.
