On April 2, 2026, our son brought our dog Hero to Gillies Animal Clinic in Homestead, Florida, for a county‑mandated rabies vaccine. Hero, an American Bully, was visibly distressed in the lobby—overheating, vomiting, and struggling to breathe. We were told his heart rate was too high and that his temperature was 104, so they advised us to take him home to calm down and return later. We rushed Hero to the animal clinic on Quail Roos when his condition worsened, and the doctors there tried to save him. They were shocked that Gillies had let him leave in that state. According to them, Hero could have been given anti‑inflammatories or allowed to cool down at the clinic, potentially preventing his death. When we informed Gillies of Hero’s passing, they put us on hold and changed their story, claiming he left in stable condition. We are devastated and seeking answers. If you were at Gillies Animal Clinic on April 2 and witnessed anything, please reach out. We want to ensure no other family has to go through this.” We will miss our sweet baby Hero.

Dr. Gilley and Dr. Moniz! I can't say enough great things about Dr. Gilley and Dr. Minoz and the entire team at Gilley Animal Clinic. From our first phone call and what I described to the team, they have been nothing but utterly supportive and made me feel at ease. As soon as I walked in, I felt like my puppy Ace and my kitty Otta were in the best hands possible. Dr. Gilley is very popular and loved all over Miami! The team is not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled but also compassionate and attentive to both my pet’s needs and my concerns as a pet parent. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I understood the treatment plan. The office is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. My babies have had multiple visits here, and every time, I leave feeling confident in the care they're receiving. I truly appreciate how much the Doctors and the team go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of my babies. It’s clear that the entire team is passionate about what they do, and that level of dedication makes all the difference.
