From the moment I walked into Animal Medical Center & Bird Clinic of Hollywood with my baby Lola, I was met with such genuine kindness and compassion. The staff and doctor didn’t just care for Lola—they cared for me too. In one of the hardest moments of my life, having to say goodbye to her, they surrounded us with comfort, patience, and understanding that I will never forget. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for treating Lola with such love and dignity when she needed it most, and for giving me the strength to get through this painful goodbye. I am writing this review specifically for my experience of bringing in my beloved dog for euthanasia. He was elderly and in poor health: it was time. I can’t stress enough how wonderful the staff were through the whole process. From the moment I mentioned the purpose of scheduling the visit, they were so gentle and compassionate. When we came in we were quickly brought to our room, which was dimly lit with a soft blanket on the table. Dr Schachner began with comforting words and then explained the process. We were left alone with our dog as the sedation took effect, a private moment we really appreciated. Aside from receiving the sedation shot, our dog never seemed anxious or stressed. As difficult as that experience inevitably was, it was as good as it could be thanks to the wonderful staff.

Dr Bob is a gem. He listened and took amazing care of our sick bird Puff. His office staff is also amazing. I received a follow-up call to see how my bird was doing as well as a card in the mail to welcome me to their practice. I had an emergency with the bird, and I called and they did not hesitate to tell me to come right over to be seen. I will be moving my three dog's records to him. Don't hesitate, if you're thinking about scheduling an appointment with this wonderful office. You will not be disappointed.

I had an heartfelt and excellent experience. My bearded dragon had been sick for the past few days and I had taken him today in the morning to get a check-up. Dr. Schachner did his physical exam, he heard his heartbeat and lungs and went in depth with questioning the symptoms he was experiencing. He was clear about all tests and placed two vaccines. Unfortunately my beardie was beyond vaccines as he had a more serious underlying issue. I did an emergency call and the doctor told me to head immediately to the clinic. He did a checkup and informed me that my beardie had passed away. He treated my dad and I with complete compassion and thoughtfulness. Although my beardie passed away, i thank Dr. Schachner for doing the best he could to treat him. He even recommended cremation plans and gave us time to think it over. I would 10/10 recommend anyone with exotic pets to come to this clinic.
