How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Crossroads Animal Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Absolutely love this clinic. The staff, vet techs and the vets here are all so beyond helpful and treat you with nothing less than kindness. They're very well educated and are excellent at explaining everything going on with your fur baby. I first started seeing them about 5 years ago with my sugar glider and now with my cat so they handle a good variety of pets. They're also very reasonable on their prices for services, surprisingly affordable considering the level of care they provide. Highly recommend if you are in the market for a vet in Fort Walton!

They treated us with respect and made us feel heard and understood. They took the time to explain any questions we had and didn't shame us for having a anxious senior dog. They gave us great advice and even came in with peanut butter and spray cheese and got down on my dogs level to help her raging anxiety. We were able to pay in the room and call in advance to bring her in without other dogs around because of how upset she gets. We live almost an hour away but its 100% worth the trip. They are also very upfront with the prices and out of the handful of vets I've attended they also have the best rates. The staff (vet and vet tech / reception) make such a stressful environment go as smoothly as possible.

I got my dog fixed a couple years ago. And they didn’t stitch him up correctly. Literally less than a couple hours after I left, it ripped open. My dog had the cone around his neck & he was on meds, so he was asleep for quite awhile. The staff was disrespectful when I brought it to their attention. I was 18 at the time. Didn’t have a car, was depending on my aunt for transportation. And they were being so rude about that situation. I should’ve sued them or complained about it sooner but for now, I just tell ppl not to trust them. I will never forget the pain/trauma my dog went through. He couldn’t pee, walk or anything. It was a big whole in his area. After many complaints, they finally took my dog in for a week & treated him for free, as they should. I wish I still had photo’s of when it first ripped open bc it was just awful.

Wonderful service. The Veterinarian used her lunch hour to save my bird's life. I called 3 other vets first. They were all too busy to help save my bird's life. She was bleeding to death because of her toe got caught in her nesting material. It was severed off. I could not stop the bleeding. Thank you so very much Crossroads Animal Clinic.
