Team, Without question , I would give this place six stars. The care loved and concerned that they showed or our little loved one and my wife, was more than I could ask for. We were there for an unfortunate circumstance , but you can feel the sincerity and love as soon as you walk through the doors. The attention we received, the detail in which we were explained what was happening and the follow up shows the people who work here , love what they do. It is a great happiness that I save my life.Receive the best care she could have ever gotten and is now doing great. Thank you to all the staff at Veg ER!!

I brought my dog, Rue, to VEG and had such a great experience. From the moment we walked in, both doctors on shift immediately greeted us. Dr. Mohan did Rue’s exam and ultrasound right in front of us and explained everything as she went. Dr. Weston came over just to love on Rue and check in on us. The nurses, Laura and Alex, were so gentle with Rue during her blood draw and IV catheter placement. Every single person was so kind. I’m so grateful for the care Rue received and would recommend VEG Fort Myers to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet.

I cannot say enough good things about this emergency animal hospital and the incredible team that cared for my cat, LunaTic. When I brought her in, she was extremely ill—lethargic, running a high fever, and honestly fighting for her life. I'm convinced that if I had waited any longer, she would not have survived. From the moment I arrived, the compassion and professionalism of the staff were evident. The veterinarian and two assistants actually met me at the door and immediately began assessing LunaTic. They listened carefully as I explained her symptoms and history, then quickly outlined their diagnostic plan and provided a clear estimate of charges before proceeding. Once treatment began, they moved swiftly and thoroughly, performing lab work, X-rays, an ultrasound, and a urinalysis. After reviewing the results, the veterinarian carefully explained my options and helped me make an informed decision about LunaTic's care. What truly set this hospital apart was not only the exceptional care they provided to my cat, but also the kindness they showed me. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process and even offered me a bed and blankets if I wanted to stay overnight while LunaTic was hospitalized. During her X-rays and ultrasound, they allowed me to stay by her side to help keep her calm and comfortable. I chose to go home and rest because I knew she was in excellent hands. Throughout the night, the veterinarian called regularly with updates on her condition. As LunaTic improved, they kept me informed every step of the way until she was ready to come home. At discharge, they thoroughly reviewed all of her medications and explained exactly how to administer them. The facility itself is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and welcoming—even offering snacks for clients. I am beyond grateful for everything this team did to save LunaTic's life. She is doing so much better now, and while she's appreciative too, she has her own funny way of showing it! I highly recommend this emergency animal hospital to anyone facing a pet emergency. Their skill, compassion, communication, and dedication are truly outstanding.

We brought our 14-year-old Yorkie, Milton, to VEG ER for Pets after he suddenly decided gravity was optional and started falling over. Needless to say, we were panicked. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in good hands. The facility has an open floor plan, so you stay with your pet the entire time — no mysterious “back room” moments. They’re also open 24 hours, which is exactly what you want when your dog chooses the worst possible time to scare you. Dr. Royers and Dr. Gonzo were incredible — calm, knowledgeable, and walked us through multiple options without any pressure. The pricing was very fair, which was a huge relief. The nurses, Caroline and Elizabeth, were gentle, attentive, and fantastic with Milton. At the front desk, Haily and Elizabeth were welcoming, reassuring, and helped keep everything calm when we definitely were not. If you’re looking for them, VEG ER for Pets is right off US 41, in front of Chuck E. Cheese and across the street from Trader Joe’s. We’re now back at home, Milton is curled up in his bed like nothing ever happened, and our heart rates have finally returned to normal. It was a scary day, but it ended the best way possible. Huge thank you to VEG ER for Pets for taking such great care of our little guy. And a shout-out to the little Frenchie who was there getting worked on — we hope you’re feeling better and get out of there soon. Kc and Lb

From start to finish, my experience with VEG ER was amazing and I will highly recommend them to anyone whose pet needs emergency care or even think they might need it. We were contemplating the severity of our kitten’s situation and called them to get their opinion. Expecting the standard answer of “they should definitely come in” by a receptionist or vet tech, I was able to speak directly with the vet who had advised practical, real advice, things to look out for and what scenarios would warrant us to bring our little guy in earlier than his scheduled appointment the next morning with a standard vet. After those things to look out for became the reality, we made the decision to bring him in to VEG ER. We were greeted immediately by the staff, our kitten was triaged right then and there, and their open concept ER meant we were able to stay with our kitten throughout the entire process. It was clear they honor the bond between pets and their owners by their allowing owners to stay with them, even overnight, offering what looked to be pull out beds and blankets, and snacks/drinks for the owners. The transparency was extremely refreshing to see. Dr. Tippy and Michelle were amazing, answered all of our questions and treated our little guy quickly. From start to finish we were there maybe an hour…I’ve waited longer than that at other animal hospitals just in the waiting room. Given the sophistication of the place, we really expected the bill to be high, but the cost was extremely reasonable. I’ve paid more for far less at other facilities. We’re so happy we made the choice to call VEG ER and ultimately bring him in, he’s already clearly feeling so much better. I can’t recommend them enough!
