How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Fort Myers Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

This is my first time having a pet so I was really skeptical about finding veterinary hospital for my cat. Dr. Sauer and her staffs are the best! They were gentle and welcoming us, even the receptionist was also really kind and patient with me since my English was not good. The price are also pretty reasonable. I know my baby will be safe and healthy after I come here!

I have been in Fort Myers since 2009 and have been to many Offices, with many dogs, no need to mention names. What I can say is, I, (as well as Skinny ) had a great experience with Dr. Sauer. She is a great Doctor, who explains everything from procedure to follow up care directions. Mary the Tech was awesome, great communication! Jake at the front desk proficient and helpful.

My 19yo cat spent a week with Dr.. Sauer & staff. She LOVED it! She had lots of attention, esp. when administering her medication. She even gained about 1.5 lbs.! That is a good thing! Patti and I are very grateful & will be back again.

Dr Sauer is one of the best veterinarians in the area. She really does have a gift for diagnosis and treatment. I have known her and her work for a little over 20 years, when she was a staff veterinarian at the clinic I had been taking my pets to for years. When the clinic owner sold the practice and retired, Dr Sauer went out on her own and I followed her. About 4 years ago I started using a veterinary practice closer to my home. Just recently, my little girl started having some pretty significant issues, and didn't appear to be getting better. I took her to Dr Sauer for a 2nd opinion. She immediately diagnosed the problem, did blood work to confirm, and when the results did indeed confirm her suspicion, she began a course of treatment, and now my little girl is on the mend!! (So much for saving on drive time! ) I can't say enough what an exceptional veterinarian Dr Sauer is, and in addition, she has a very caring and competent staff. If you are looking for veterinary medical care in the Fort Myers area, I highly recommend Fort Myers Veterinary Hospital

Very lucky to find this vet when we did. Not a vet group with doctors you don’t know or that cycle through just to check a box. Small, local and actually care about your animal and YOU!
