How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Plantation Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I’m from out of town and was able to see the Vet within a few hours of calling. Dr. Cone was able to evaluate my dog and provide me with a game plan; as well as, some medication. I’m truly appreciative of the care she & her staff provided and for making time to see Reyna.

Dr Lisi, DVM and Tara, vet tech, were so attentive to my puppy. Took their time making her feel at ease, answered all my questions thoroughly and suggested future treatment plans. Im so happy I chose Plantation Animal Hospital. I won't take Venus anywhere else !

All staff are friendly & efficient. It's obvious they have worked together for a while and like where they work. Dr Lisi & Tech Chelsy continue to exceed expectations with suggestions and solutions for our situation(s). How they interact and handle our dogs is always perfect for each personality. Granted they do this every day. But not every vet can/will do this. We live a good 40 minutes away and pass several vet clinics on our drive. We will continue to support Plantation Animal Hospital. OH! and the online pharmacy is convenient and easy to use. The pricing seems about average, maybe we could get lower cost meds elsewhere. But the convenience/ease of having Dr Lisi place a new order, or tweak something we already have is big for us. And free home delivery is a bonus.

In effort to find a vet that could meet some specific needs of cat that had adopted us, Plantation was our 4th Vet in 6 wks. They were not only gracious, we were quickly booked with Dr Lisi and her support techs were beyond excellent!! Have been back for follow-up visits and cannot express the comfort and gratitude for their caring, knowledge and expertise at caring for our new addition. The fees were extremely reasonable and no surprise charges, as they were very forthcoming with estimates and what to expect. We love and appreciate ALL the team - starting at the front door. HIGHLY recommend!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. If I could give negative stars, I would. If you love and care about them, this is not the office for you. Long story short: my dog and I were neglected and disrespected for years, and now she is dead. I believed something was very wrong with her when she started wheezing and coughing, and instead of taking me seriously or even entertaining the idea of ruling other conditions out, the staff at this hospital ignored me and spoke over me at every single appointment. They would interrupt me, ignore my concerns, and brush me off as being dramatic or anxious, all with that insufferable customer service smile that makes you feel like you're speaking to a wall shaped like a Barbie. My dog had congestive heart disease and this office completely ignored the signs despite me constantly bringing up her problems, which I later found out were classic signs of early heart disease. I had to bring her somewhere else to find out that my dog was dying, and that the signs were there for years. All signs that I brought up and that this staff completely ignored. By the time I found out, it was too late. Her death might have been preventable had I taken her somewhere else. I trusted these people for too long, and I regret ever bringing her to these people. Do not make my mistake. This office cares about being "right" and taking your money.
