How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Countryside Animal Clinic
Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

They have taken such good care of our families dogs, even our difficult little guy Bear. We drive like 40 mins just so we can come here! Simple and fair like the vet always used to be. We are very grateful to have them. Love all the staff!

I wholeheartedly agree with the negative review responses here on Google. I have been a customer for several years of Countryside and until now, didn't speak up. I can longer hold my silence on this company and the owner who runs it. Which is who I just dealt with. My 13 year old female Chihuahua just had a second mammary growth pop up on her mammary chain. She had one 4 years ago that was removed by Thrive vet in Orange City and that Dr, Dr Garcia was gentle, kind, and treated me and my pet like we mattered. Fast forward to now. I took her to see Dr Brewer at Countryside and from the time he stepped in the room, it was all jokes and ridiculous comments when I was dealing with something that was a very serious matter to me. Being widowed and on fixed income that I relaid to him. The first thing out of his mouth was, well if you are worried about *money* you could just leave the tumor there and she will still live 3-4 more years. Who does that?! I went to hand my 4 lb dog to him to exam and he would not take her at all. In fact, he didn't even give her an exam whatsoever. He only looked at the tumor (with me holding her) and attempted to measure it. My best friend that was with me and I asked how much this would cost for the surgery. He said, UNDER a thousand. They then proceeded to have me do tests, lab work and urinalysis. The actual yearly EXAM was never performed. I also had them do her nails which they only did a couple of them they didn't even do her dew claws. Cost of this? $330. It took a week and a half to get the said *quote* for the surgery which btw came in at $1500 low end, $1800 high end. Mind you, I had this done 4 years ago with Dr Garcia for under $500. I then got a phone call from Brewer telling me that I needed to put her on a special dog food that they sold there at the clinic for kidneys even though he told me her kidneys were functioning fine and everything else was fine. The price of a small bag of this was like $80 and the can food was $4.50 a can. He knew I was on fixed income!!!! After the non-exam I left the girl at the desk know that I was not happy with what just happened did I didn't even get an exam. I also told the next two people that I dealt with over the phone the same thing. I ended up calling back days later and spoke with Gavin who was supposedly the manager who was condescending and treated me horribly and told me that I needed to talk to Dr Brewer himself and I said look I'm already under emotional stress right now personally and you want me to have to go and tell this whole story again!? So then Brewer calls and his attitude was no better and when I told him I was unhappy his voice got loud and his tone very nasty and told me ""you are not getting your money back"" and mind you I was only asking for the exam fee and the nail trim which would equal to about $100 of the $330 that I spent!! He also said to me "it's people like you that do this" and I said to him what do you mean people like me??!! By the end of the call I was a complete emotional mess crying my eyes out and it wasn't about the money, it's about the PRINCIPAL He didn't even touch my dog didn't examine my dog and there's no way in hell that I would take my dog back there!! That place does not care about your animals!! All they care about is the almighty dollar!! This was handled so unprofessionally, unkind and uncaring. Especially to do to a senior widow. I pray all consumers read these reviews and make sure to read the negative ones because this place is HORRIBLE!! And Dr Brewer is horrible. NEVER AGAIN

This review is based on vet clinic staff. We have been a client for years, but unfortunately we will be looking for a new vet clinic. The vets have all shown care towards our animals BUT the staff surrounding them are rude, show lack of care and compassion, and seem unhappy with their jobs. 1.) My dog has numerously gotten his paw stuck in between the wood slabs on their sitting benches. On this last visit, he was in extreme distress and the vet tech just stood there watching us struggle to free my dog’s paw. She then told us that the owner refuses to put new benches in the clinic. 2.) On this same visit, we had a different vet tech open the door to our exam room to let our dog back in after going to get a blood test. She said nothing to us and threw our dog’s leash on the floor and shut the door. 3.) Just prior to that visit, I had an appointment scheduled for days because my dog had an infected hot spot forming. The clinic called me 2 hours prior to that appointment time and canceled our appointment because the vet went home sick. The receptionist stated that they could not accommodate us with another vet that day because they were fully booked up. We were left scrabbling trying to find another vet to see him for care that day.

My mother and I took our newly adopted dog to Countryside Animal Clinic together last week. From the time we walked in, and until we walked out we greeted with smiles and great service. Our technician Kelly and Doctor Skinner were absolutely amazing and helpful.. See ya in 6 months 🙂

You have got to be kidding me. Took my male dog into get fixed. I paid all the fees for lab work and office visit. I got my price to have him fixed. I about fell down when the girl said 600 dollars. Are they putting in gold. They are well beyond the highest price to have your dog fixed. Do your price shopping people.
