My 13lb golfendoodle had major dental work done a couple of weeks ago and went for her last laser session today. As always all the staff were so kind and caring. It truly is a special place. Shoutout to Victoria and Bert for all the laughs and making going there every day for two weeks a great experience! Ellie will miss being told how pretty she is every day! Thank you Dr.Lera for your great care. This is I think our 15th year at the practice.

Dr. Lera and his staff are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I will always be grateful to them for helping Bella and bringing back the puppy I used to have even though she's 12 years old. Their treatment plan (which included red light therapy & med packing in her ear) gave her the relief she desperately needed and has allowed me to see her running and playing all over the house again. I never felt rushed while I was in their clinic, if anything I felt like they were all truly invested in helping her get better. They took care of Bella like she was one of their own during every visit and that's the most important thing to me.

My pup hurt her leg while visiting family for the winter and I was scrambling to find a vet I could trust last minute. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Lera and the ENTIRE staff at Heron Lakes Animal Hospital. I have been to SO many vets between all my pets over the years and I have never had such thorough, professional and genuinely kind experience before. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and joy from their receptionist Victoria (you are so sweet and so helpful!), their vet tech Bert is simply oozing out with genuine love for your pet, and Dr Lera, who took almost 4 hours for a consultation/second opinion visit to make sure all t’s are crossed and all of my questions and concerns were answered fully. I was beyond grateful for the attention to detail and patience. I am a bit of a nervous dog mom, I always have a ton of questions and need detailed explanations and I never once felt rushed or felt pressured into anything. Dr Lera went above and beyond to set up a last minute surgery date for my dog Gypsy with a fantastic surgeon, Dr Cabrera. As nervous as I was the day of the surgery I knew she was in good hands with their staff. Thank you Dr Lera and all of your staff for making my experience so smooth and reassuring. Looking forward to having Gypsy be a full time patient of yours once we move to South Florida permanently. 🐾🩵

What a wonderful office in every way! Everyone is so friendly and Dr Lera is excellent, he truly shows his love for animals through his patience, kindness, and willingness to spend time with each one of them! He addresses concerns and is very knowledgable. He is just what I was looking for in a doctor/healthcare partner to care for my fur babies. He has a holistic approach, which I LOVE and doesn’t push anything. Truly Heron Lakes Animal Hospital was the perfect landing place for the care of my pets and I am so grateful to have found them! I know this will be a blessing for us ♥️🙏🏼

Dr Lera and his team did an excellent job with our little morkie. She had a very acute bladder infection. We thought that she was on the last legs and we were thinking about putting her down . They were able to take care of her and bring her back to full health. She is now a happy, vibrant dog and very energetic. We could not have done it without the support of Dr Lera and his team. Thank you so much for the love and caring that you give for all of your animal patients and their owners!
