How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Banfield Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I brought my newly adopted 1 year old cat for his shots and first check-up. The staff was great with him. They explained everything clearly and were super nice. We didn't have to wait long for our appointment either. The room was super clean as well. My boy guess back for his follow up appointment today. My friends found him and we think he was abandoned so he got everything done and he is healthy 💗

We adopted our beautiful girl fr9m a Petsnart all the way down in Doral 15 yrs ago. A beautiful little Pekingnese we named Mocha. We live in Coral Springs so our first visit to the Turtle Creek office was great. We have been taking her there faithfully for 15 yrs, our first and only vet I ever wanted to have was Dr George , he is amazing, caring kind thoughtful and trustworthy. We took our baby there on Thursday morning 1/22 deforestation we feared was to possibly be her last visit. Dr George and his assistant put us at ease, they were gentle and loving w her and very comforting and empathetic to my husband and I. We said our final heartbreaking goodbyes to our baby girl . They stayed w us faithfully through this heartbreaking process. We will forever be grateful to Dr George and ALL the staff at Banfield. Never once in all our visits did we ever have a bad experience. THANK YOU for all the love !!!!

My 16 y old fur baby Bear was really sick and I was so sad knowing that his days are numbers now. We meet Dr Charlotte Gillis and her assistant that made us feel so welcoming and showed me so much care towards me and my baby, so much knowledge explaining everything with patience and care. 2 days later Bear is doing better and my heart is full of gratitude towards these 2 human beings that treated us exactly the way we needed. Thank you so much Dr Gillis from Banfield Boynton Beach at 335 N Congress Av. The world needs more professionals like you both.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Banfield Pet Hospital at PetSmart. I brought my pet in for an International Health Certificate for travel, and she was kept at the facility for the entire day. Shortly after that visit, she developed kennel cough, which she did not have before being at the hospital. As a result, I was forced to cancel and completely change my international travel plans, and I also had to pay additional veterinary bills to treat the illness she developed after her stay. Also considering none of her routine changed 10 days before travel, her visit to the clinic, was the only thing we did differently. What made this situation even worse was the way it was handled by the staff, specifically Heather and the manager, Andrea. Neither of them showed any empathy or concern for what I was going through, despite the fact that this situation caused me financial loss, stress, and major travel changes. Instead of trying to help or offer solutions, Heather was very disrespectful and dismissive, and at one point even told me I was lying about what time I was told the manager would be available. Being spoken to that way as a customer is completely unacceptable. On top of that, I was told the health certificate would be processed within 24 hours, yet I received no updates or communication for several days. I had to keep calling and going in person just to try to get information. As an additional they also informed me they certificate was not done correctly and they will not meet the delivery date, so regardless of the illness of my dog which was already a terrible experience, their staff was not capable of delivering a well done certificate. This experience was stressful, costly, and very disappointing. I trusted Banfield with an important and time-sensitive process, and the lack of care, communication, and professionalism — especially from Heather and the manager Andrea — was very upsetting. I hope management takes this seriously and improves both their communication and customer service, because no pet owner should have to go through this. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
