Wholistic Veterinary Care
How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Wholistic Veterinary Care
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Getting to Know Your Veterinarian

Experience
Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Emergency Care Procedures
It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.
Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.
Facility Tour

This lady contacted me via email, had an entire conversation with me and I canceled my appointment via email, after finding out the pricing and issues she was already giving me. My appointment was 2 weeks away. She calls me 2 weeks later and says I was a no call no show. She miraculously received all of my emails and admitted she remembered speaking with me via email, but somehow didn’t receive my last email advising to cancel the appointment. Uu Then, she proceeded to tell me that she doesnt communicate with anyone via email when she reached out to me via email. She also stated that I can’t cancel via email. She wrongfully charged me a $100 no show fee, which I am disputing. I have proof of our email thread. This lady is bad business and was rude to me about it. I’ll be telling everyone about her unprofessionalism. Don’t go here! Shes overpriced anyways at $226 an hour. What a joke!

Dr. Carrazzino is great with my dogs. Even my shy girl likes and trust her. She takes her time with each animal and works to find a remedy to bring the dogs system back into balance, rather than prescribing a bunch of drugs. In addition, she is a great help on nutrition for those of you raw feeding and provides alternatives to monthly pesticides.

Dr. Robin Cannizzaro saved my dog from going down an unnecessary path of steroids. Using classical homeopathy we were able to get his digestive system back into balance. Her methods of healing are not like typical protocols used by allopathic, and even integrative vets. Homeopathy is intriguing and hard to describe in 3 sentences. There's a free downloadable pdf called "Beyond Flat Earth Medicine" by Dr. Timothy Dooley. When you read the pdf you'll understand why the initial visit takes 2 hours. She asks the most thorough questions and really gets to the cause of what is creating the symptoms of disease in the first place. I highly recommend reading the pdf before your first visit- you'll be able to ask better questions when you meet her. She's a terrific vet.

Dr. Cannizaro is the best. She really cares about her patients, including the people who love them. Robin helped both our dogs, Sofia and Chloe, helping Sofie to loose weight naturally when no other vet could figure it out. In addition, later, Chloe was the opposite. She had serious tummy issues and kept losing weight. But Robin skillfully came up with a program to help her to regain the weight and lead a very happy and energetic life. We recommend Dr Cannizaro wholeheartedly.

At first I didn't know what to expect being a first time visit. I was very impressed with Dr Robins knowledge of wholistic care. She explained everything to me I didn't understand. She treated my pet like it was her own. I would highly recommend her.
