We have been using Dr. Nina for over 20 years and are extremely happy. She saved our golden retriever’s life (despite multiple other clinics telling us there was nothing they could do). Dr. Nina gave us an extra 4 years of great quality time with our dog. In fact, I am typing this because today she came in on her day off for our emergency. The entire staff at Wellness Animal Hospital are the best. They are professional and caring. We’ll never go anywhere else.

I can’t say enough great things about wellness animal hospital. We moved here 3 years ago and this was our first choice of vets in the area. We are so lucky to have them caring for our 3 cats. Our 2 elderly fur babies seem to be frequent fliers there and they are always accommodating with appts and return calls. The entire staff is amazing but I have to mention DR LUNA AND FALLON as our shining stars. Their compassion, honesty, and love for the ”patients” is outstanding. We had to say good bye to our eldest, Rocky, yesterday. We made an appt with another home service but Dr Luna was quick to call us to ask if she could it. I’ve never had a vet care enough to offer to come to our house and carry this out. Rocky knew and trusted her and she let us have all the time we needed for our goodbyes. He was treated like the prince he is and will be forever missed💔

I have been to Several vets for my Hamster that unfortunately passed away, And while going through the process of all of her sicknesses, I have never been somewhere that has more compassion and care for their patients and animals. They were so helpful and good to us, When I told Dr. Luna That she had passed I got a letter in the mail signed by everyone in the office. Thank you all!

The best animal hospital in Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton area. My kitty had a horrible eye issue and is doing so much better now. They were able to get me in right away even through they were pretty busy. There was no wait and everyone was so professional and caring. They treated Angel like their own and she’s never been this relaxed at a vet before. Amazing place, modern, clean and smelled good! If you need someone who actually cares and don’t want to spend a lot - please go see these great people at Wellness Animal Hospital (they are on Market St off University right by Publix, super easy to find). Thank you so much for taking care of Angel!!

If you really care about your pet do not use this vet. I went to them because I was traveling and needed a health certificate but my normal vet had a family emergency and I was flying out the next day so I made an appointment with this vet. They claimed that I had to get my dog micro chipped because their office was out of tags. I was stuck so I went ahead with it. Then they eventually told me my dog was due to come in. I figured since they gave him all his shots and treatment for travel I would continue going to them. Well the next thing you know my dog has a thyroid issue it was too low according to Dr. Luna. I gave medication like I was told and now his thyroid is too high. Dangerously high according to my old vet that I went back to after the Dr told me that my dog's thyroid level was too high and she wanted me to double his medication. I questioned her about it and she went into the back to look at his numbers and pulled me into a room and apologized because she gets confused between hyper and hypo thyroid. My old vet told me that they never ran free T4 only total and it wasn't originally low enough to warrant putting him on thyroid medicine and he did xrays there is no fluid build up in my dogs heart or lungs. So they were prescibing 2 medications unnecessarily. The first time that they ever prescribed medication for my dog and I asked for hard copies so I could get it filled elsewhere I was told that I should of requested it in the beginning of our visit. They still gave me prescriptions to get filled but I could tell they weren't too happy. This year they brought me in every month that my dog's thyroid was either too high or too low. Then they try to pressure you into flea/tick and heartworm and we need all kinds of vaccines and rabies. Lied and said dog had enlarged heart, tried to tell me that my dog has kidney problems and needs special food that they sell. Which I bought 1 can but my dog refused to eat it. Then the thyroid issues which the Dr gets confused on. Also it is true, they make you come in and pick up a hard copy of prescriptions when you run out of refills if you get your medication through someone else. My dog has a slight enlargement on one side of heart but could be caused by giving him thyroid medicine when he didn't need it he also gags which is also a sign of too high thyroid level. Steer clear and always question and always get second opinion before putting your pet on medication.
