How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Rachel and Dr Clayton were very friendly and helpful. Went in to have a fine needle biopsy done on my border collie and was in and out in under 45 minutes with good news back from the biopsy. Very efficient and positive visit. Five stars

We love Fort Collins Vetco! Easy to schedule appointments and often on the same day. Staff have always returned our phone calls and answered questions. They truly love our sweet Lil boy "Cooper" :) Highly recommend!

THEY ARE AMAZING! Especially Dr.Rich and Clarisse. My poor cat has had a multitude of issues this year and they know him as soon as we walk in the door and ALWAYS help my boy💙 Could not recommend more!

Went to the Fort Collins Petco Vet clinic. After taking our baby several places with no luck... the Vetco staff at the Fort Collins location were absolutely amazing! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! From the ease of making the appointment, to the wonderful compassion they showed, I have never had someone care so much. Tyler, at the reception desk was confident, knowledgeable and kind! Maddie, the vet tech, listened to all of our concerns with compassion and love for our guy. As the first person to see our guy, she loved him like we do, and it's clear she loves her patients. Lastly, we met with the doctor. Dr. Rich was amazing!! She took into account our ability to pay and crafted a complete treatment plan geared toward what we could afford. Still taking into account what was best for our little guy. She was so personable and answered every question, taking so much time with us. We've been to many other vets (even different Vetcos) none have shown the compassion and love that these folks did! Thank you!!!

Daley, is our vet asst., was very good at her job, she even remembered us from a year ago. Ginger is a service dog 🐕‍🦺, she is my lifeline. Daley put my mind at ease, I realize Ginger was just getting yearly shots but I was still nervous. Daley is the best...I am so sorry to hear that she was leaving. But education is important.
