How to Save on Veterinary Costs at D-SNiP

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Most affordable spay/neuter in the area, very polite and professional. Our male cat seemed hardly inconvenienced and recovered fully in less than 2 days. Please spay and neuter your pets, the shelters are full. Adopt, don't buy!

I am with a rescue that does TNR for the community cats in our area. This team consists of a small number of dedicated and compassionate ladies that work their butts off! Their services are offered at a lower cost, making it possible for low income people to do the responsible thing by getting their pets spayed/neutered. They travel often to provide these services to surrounding areas as well. In regards to the negative comment written by Rachel M., I just have to say that I am the one that actually arrived with the cats the morning the office was closed. I text one of the ladies there and she immediately responded and offered to remedy the situation. I was completely satisfied with that and not at all bothered by the situation. Mistakes happen, we’re all human. Not to mention that this appointment was tentatively scheduled over a month ago. In no way, shape or form should one particular incident define this organization and these wonderful women that have done so much for the community! Even though it’s a little bit of a drive, it’s absolutely worth the care and service that I receive from them!

I have nothing but good things to say about this business . I wish I could remember the woman’s name who took care of my baby girl , but even after the procedure I was having concerns (turned out to be absolutely nothing I was just worried for nothing ) and she went out of her way to speak with me and give me remarkable customer service . She made sure I knew she was gonna be ok! I was so scared to get my baby girl fixed , I was full of anxiety before during and after lol and the staff accommodated my needs wonderfully . Also they have better prices than anyone in my local area , I had to travel to get the procedure done and it was 100 percent worth it ! If I ever need a pet fixed I will def only be coming back ! Thank you ladies at D snip !!!

These folks really love animals, and it shows in how they handle them. My five-month-old kitten, Guinevere, was a rescue from one of their missions to the Gallup, New Mexico area. She recovered quickly from her spaying and is as rowdy as ever. I'm very grateful.

Had cats transported from Cortez to Durango this morning after a day and evening of trapping within our colony, which is emotionally draining for myself, my neighbor , and my hubby. Was notified the office was closed upon arrival and then that the Dr had changed schedules without notifying of the change. This TNR was scheduled and involved three trappers, coordination from the neighbors and trapping program, rescheduling of work and colony feedings, and of course the strays who were trapped, transported, and spent the night in traps to be seen this morning. This was my 1st experience with this company though I have heard good things about their low cost and free services for the area.
