How to Save on Veterinary Costs at San Tan Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My dog passed away suddenly at home, they were 40 mins from closing but helped my decide on next steps , cremation and even came to the car to grab my dog and offered a room if needed for my daughter to grieve. This has been the second pet they have helped me through in regards to pet loss , very much glad to have them as my vet and will highly recommend

Always friendly, we never have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes to be called. All the technicians are very knowledgeable and I haven't seen a vet that I didn't like. Most importantly, when I take my dog she isn't afraid to be there. I love San Tan Animal hospital.

We had an excellent experience with San Tan Animal Hospital. We have a special needs girl with anxiety and reactivity issues and they were so friendly and accommodating- she’s on Prozac and we worried that transferring to a new vet may bring judgement or push back on the steps we’ve taken to work through her struggles and Dr Wilson was so understanding and easy to work with - our tech Jessica was so patient and friendly and made us and our girls feel very comfortable. They listened to all of our concerns and provided excellent care. Dr Wilson recognized a growth in our other girls gumline that we and our previous vet had either missed or maybe it’s a recent development but either way they offered a range of surgical options and costs to address it and we’ll be going back for all our future needs! Great people, beautiful clean office and great overall experience

Been here for over 45 mins just to get vaccines. Not coming back and extremely overpriced. 4 shots $270 plus for a 50lb dog. My original appointment was at 430 today and I showed up 10 mins early. Highly recommend searching other vets, and driving a little further if needed

I am very happy with the treatment Apollo received. I have one thing I would like you to address. When one of your existing patients has an emergency you charge extra for the appointment. I feel that is the opposite of what your policy should be. When an established patient has an emergency, if anything it should be a lesser charge not more, or the same charges. All in I am a very happy customer. Thanks for listening.
