How to Save Money at Queen Creek Veterinary Clinic

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I’ve had such a great experience so far with Queen Creek Veterinary Clinic. I have a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd and a 12-week-old puppy, and the care they’ve both received has been excellent. The staff is kind, patient, and truly caring with my dogs. The newly remodeled office is beautiful and so much more spacious with lots of rooms—it’s a huge improvement from a few years ago. I actually left this clinic about four years ago because I wasn’t happy with the staff or the old facility, but after seeing the remodel (and it being so close to home), I decided to give them another try, and I’m so glad I did. My older Aussie recently had a dental cleaning for $495, and her teeth look incredible—they’ve never been this white! My puppy has also had a few health issues, and they were able to see us the same day as a walk-in. I did have to wait about an hour and a half, but I never felt rushed or like they squeezed us in. They still took the time to make sure she was fully checked out and cared for. I liked the clinic so much that I decided to enroll in their annual puppy plan—not only for peace of mind, but also because it made sense financially for our family. Overall, I highly recommend Queen Creek Veterinary Clinic. They’ve completely turned things around and earned my trust back. Five stars!

We love Queen creek vet! Dr Carly has done an amazing job with our two border collies, making sure they get the adequate love and care needed to stay healthy. Dr Carly performed both a tooth extraction for our Gus and a routine neuter for Cooper. They are never afraid to walk into the vet because they are always loved and treated the best by the staff! Our babies are on the health plans and it has saved us so much money!

My Oliver has had some tummy issues since I brought him home last year (2024) and they have been helping me with figuring out what’s going on, we came to the conclusion he has a poultry allergy. The time and patience they have with me calling with all my questions and showing me so much grace is what makes me trust the vet with my baby. I would 100% recommend everyone come here. I ask if he should have different tests done and they will only recommend what they think is necessary and never have tried to “upsell” me, which I am so thankful for.

It has taken me over a week to write this review as I needed some time to process the loss of my baby boy Rocco. This is the absolute best place I have ever been to when it comes to animal care. The compassion and empathy this place has is absolutely incredible. When we had to make the difficult decision on our baby boy they did not hesitate to take us in without hesitation. They were professional and made sure we were as comfortable as we could be in that situation. I can’t say thank you enough!!!

Our recent visit for a dental cleaning was a great experience. The entire team was incredibly friendly and provided excellent care. I believe our vet tech was Ritu, and she was wonderful, so kind, knowledgeable, and informative throughout the process. We also really appreciated the thoughtful check in message from Britain the day after surgery. Our dog genuinely loves coming to the vet, which says so much about the care here. Thank you to the entire Queen Creek Vet team for all that you do!
