When you get the level of care me & mine got, price is worth the service. I tragically lost my baby boy & these angels gave us all the time, space & reassurance they could offer. The private cremation service was one of the best choices I’ve made in life. I got so much more than his ashes back. I got an actual paw impression. Nose prints. A vial of hair. I can cry, hug & kiss each, for the rest of the time I have left. So grateful for every piece of him they sent back. Dr. Melissa will always be in my heart. Thank you folks, from the bottom of my broken heart.

Messed up my dogs surgery and gas lighted my girlfriend into giving them more money. My dog got bit , and we brought her here for stitches as it seemed the most affordable urgent care option. It was around 1000$ for the cleaning , antibiotics , pain meds, and stitches. We come back 2 weeks later per the vets recommendation. They remove the stitches , but say they need to add staples because the wound wasn’t healed fully. We come back 10 days after that to get the staples out. Fast forward a few weeks , and the wound is inflamed, infected, and looks worse than ever. I am out of town at this point. My girlfriend brings the dog back in to get checked , and the staff convinced her that it was our fault for waiting 25 days to take the staples out. Clearly bad time keeping on their end. they counted from our first visit day to the staple removal day, completely glossing over the fact that my dog had stitches first that they removed before the staples. They gaslighted her into believing we had messed up. The real cause of the infection was suture material left inside my dog ! The staff made her pay an additional 500$ for re examination and antibiotics. After a week or two of compressing the still open wound , we finally took a piece of suture out that was causing my pups wound to not be able to heal. I would strongly recommend AGAINST midnight sun animal hospital to anyone who cares about their pets or their wallets. Horrible practice to make us pay for their mistakes. They played on my girlfriends emotions, and convinced her that we messed up. In reality they screwed up the surgery and wouldn’t fix their mistake without more $$.

Thank you for the surgery for Angel, she had a hernia and her intestines were moving out their place. Thank you doctor Todd, thank you a lot. For anybody who was desperate as me, the ER is way too expensive, and yes, you need all the money, there is no payment plans (sadly). Please be aware of these things before any surgery. And if you want to leave your pet at the ER for them to take care of it for the night is going to be $1000 per night. It is expensive This is Angel now 3 months after the surgery. She is a healthy cat.

This canine hospital is the top choice for dog owners in rural areas who commute to Anchorage by boat or plane. When my work schedule prevented me from traveling, this facility took in my two dogs. Their expedited service includes fetching the dog from the airport and delivering it to the hospital's entrance, a convenience that's uncommon elsewhere. Despite some complaints about wait times, it's crucial to consider that this is also an emergency hospital with limited staff. The team prioritizes urgent cases, and I'm always ready to relinquish my spot for a dog in more critical condition. Last year, they referred me to two other exceptional hospitals, Pet Emergency Treatment on E. Dowling Rd. and VCA Bering Sea Animal Hospital on E 74th Ave. Anchorage because they were fully booked. I've visited both of these places with my dog, and they were equally exceptional; it's clear that they all have a great working relationship with one another, and I'm grateful to have access to all these resources for my dog. My furry friend recently underwent a dental cleaning there, and after 11 days, she's recovering splendidly. When I went to pick her up, I observed the staff tenderly tending to her, and she didn't exhibit any distress from being left there. This experience only strengthened my trust in this hospital, as dogs are like humans in remembering places where they've had bad experiences.

I want to start by saying that I’m so glad that there is a 24 hour vet to help take care of emergency situations. Unfortunately, I had a pretty frustrating experience today. Living in one of the villages off the road system, I have to obtain a health certificate for my dog if I spend more than 18 hours in Anchorage. Because we have waited hours in years prior, we made an appointment. I arrived a little early, the tech got us right back into the room and said it would be a couple minutes. After an hour, I let the front desk know that we were still there. Finally, after more than an hour, the Dr. spent the 10 minutes on the wellness exam to get the health certificate. All of this would have been fine had, on the way out, suggested that we make an appointment next time. To which I responded that we did - they even called to confirm it. She said they only have walk-in hours on Saturdays, so now I’m just confused and angry because I waited a really long time to have the doctor tell me that I didn’t even have an appointment when the desk seemed to know about it. I try to avoid this place as much as possible. If anyone else knows of a place that does health certificates on a Saturday and will honor appointments that the front office sets, I’d love a recommendation.
