Reasonable and dependable

I have had good experiences with claims processing over the past 1.5 years. Good coverage for my maltipoo when he needed to be microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and his wellness puppy exams. My dog's insurance coverage activation was quick and I usually received my reimbursement check within a week after the confirmation email from the insurance claims representative. This year I made an appointment for my dog's wellness exam and 1 year vaccinations after receiving an email that his coverage was renewed. I hadn't looked at the fine print that said the exact date of the renewal coverage (Nov 5). Being in the medical industry myself I am more accustomed to insurance renewing on the 1st of the month so I had made an appointment on Nov 3. When I submitted the claim it was actually initially denied because the services were rendered 2 days before the renewal of the policy. I emailed back concerned that my claim was denied when I had already been notified about the policy renewal. The claims department was understanding and reimbursed me the entire claim. That to me is excellent customer service. They have assured me that they are reasonable and do care for my dog's medical needs. I appreciate that I feel that I am speaking to a person and not just another insurance company. Embrace is a great pet insurance and I highly recommend them.

Extremely Prompt!

My cat inquired a very pricey surgery. Trupanion not only notified me the day of receiving the claim, but processed the claim in three days. I received the check less than a week later. Talk about prompt! In addition, the claim forms or extremely straight forward. The processed claim information was fully detailed with the coverage, what being reimbursed, and what wasn't being reimbursed and why.

came thru when help was needed the most

I have had Pets Best fror over 4 years and unfortunately had to submit 2 very large claims for 2 of my dogs(I have 3).and Pets Best came through saving us a total of almost $3000.00.. really made both situations much easier to deal with just know the insurance is there for us

Outstanding!

I've had a couple of claims this year for my new puppy and they have all been handled in a professional manner with no problems. If I had a complaint, though, it was that it seemed to take a long time for processing. (I was told at one point that the claims system was being upgraded and that was the reason for the delay). But what happened today makes me willing to forget anything in the past. The service I got was exceptional. My puppy needed surgery for an eyelid defect. I had it precertified with Embrace, and they agreed to cover everything in accordance with my policy. The surgery was last week. I asked the vet to please submit the claim form promptly. Well, it took multiple phone calls and over a week to get the claim form from the vet. Ultimately, I had the vet fax the form to me and I sent it in to Embrace. The rep I had been talking to all week (asking if they got it yet) had been very helpful so far and I asked for a favor: given the added expenses around the holiday season and the cost of the surgery, I asked if they could somehow expedite the processing of the claim. He said they would try. TWO HOURS LATER, I got an email saying the claim had been approved and my reimbursement would be issued today!!! TWO HOURS!!!! I have never had such wonderful service from any sort of insurance provider, whether for pets or people. THANK YOU EMBRACE!

Fantastic

I was very hesitant to get pet insurance, however, a friend has Trupanion and he had to use it and Trupanion handled it great, so I signed up. On December 15 2011 my puppy was sick. I tried to get into my regular Vet but couldn't. I took my puppy to the emergency Animal hospital and they did a quote of what they needed to do to diagnose him. The quote was almost $2000.00. I phoned Trupanion to get a quote and the office was closed. The gentleman by the name of Scott answered the call and I explained my situation. He tried the Claims line to see if anyone would answer and they did. The girl was just getting ready to go home and she (Teresa) stayed behind to help me. While I was on the phone with Teresa I told the Vet to xray my puppy to see what was going on. We found out he was full of kitty litter in his intestines. The Vet quoted me $6000.00 to operate on my puppy. Within 1/2 hour I was preappoved for #6000.00. I was so relieved. The Vet was able to give my puppy medication to get the Kitty litter moving and he was able to poop it out. If you think that is amazing I was reinbursed 5 days after the incident. Trupanion thank you for saving my puppy Chewy.
