Love trupanion!

I am very pleased with the quality of service that trupanion has provided! Our Boston terrier Lily was diagnosed with bilateral luxatIng patellas a few months ago and she recently underwent her first knee surgery. Not only was our claim processed expeditedly but trupanion seemed genuinely concerned about Lily's progressed post-op!! Thank you trupanion for helping us take care of our little Lily!!!

Quick response

I have to say that Trupanion is very quick in processing a claim and sending out a cheque. Unfortunately, there are a number of things they don't cover (even in an illness or injury situation), so there always seem to be big deductions - resulting a somewhat small cheque. However, they are an insurance company, so I am not entirely surprised by that. My only hope is that, if I ever incur a massive bill (if my dog gets some terrible disease), I don't get an equally small cheque. That is, after all, why I pay hundreds of dollars annually for coverage.

outstanding

From initially getting my quote to submitting my claims, the service has been outstanding. My dog has a long running disease, but Trupanion has been right there for us, making our life less stressful and insuring that Hannah has the best of care.

so easy

I never had pet insurance and got Trupanion for my kitten. About two years later, I'm really pleased as to how simple the claim process is. I also love that they communicate via e-mail and update you every step of the way. It was so easy and happily, they covered what they said they would. It also realize that the deductible is not yearly but per "illness." Good to know. Oh, well, but it's still worth it.

I just want to say thanks to this company for making it possible for my dog to get the care he needs. All the worry about how I am going to pay for my pets care is not a concern anymore. I can not set my mind at ease knowing that I have this company to help me with the cost of my dogs medical bills. Their reimbursement payout is less than a week if you can believe that. They also keep you up to date with the status of the claim....which probably isn't necessary because they paid out my last claim within 2 days....there are outstanding....I refer this company to.everyone I know......thanks TRupanion

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
