Very pleased with Trupanion

I have been very pleased with the help and support received from Trupanion. My kitten developed asthma and underwent many costly tests recently and she is currently on medications to treat her condition. The coverage I chose has been a lifesaver and Trupanion representatives have been wonderful. They are prompt with follow ups and status reports regarding my claims. Once I fax in my paperwork, the process begins within a day which is great. I do recommend this company to others.

Trupanion is wonderful and truly covers 90%

Trupanion is wonderful, my peke-pom just had to have the etropian surgery on both of his eyes and the covered 90%, almost 720.00 no questions asked and the claim was handled very quickly!

Great job!

When my dog got hit by a car and needed several thousands in medical bills, Trupanion was very timely in getting things filed, I loved the emails that kept me up to date on the claim (generally before I thought to ask) and the payment processing was fast. I got my check in about 12 business days. I LOVE Trupanion's 90/10 payout rate and how they handled the deductible was really helpful, too (they pulled it out of the larger bill so I got reimbursed for my local vet visit as well as the much larger referral hospital visit.

Great company to work with

Our dog has been dealing with allergies that cause her to itch uncontrollably and during the course of treatment she has reacted to the medications on more than one occasion. Trupanion has paid all claims promptly and has not denied anything, including reactions to treatment. I wish they would cover the visit fee at the emergency animal hospital, but I understand that there are limits. I do very much appreciate the once per condition deductible, so we have only paid the deductible once for all of her allergy treatments. I very much recommend trupanion if you are looking for pet insurance.

Excellent Pet Insurance

Excellent insurance. We were recommended by a friend to join Trupanion and are so glad we did. Recently our dog needed to have surgery on an ACL injury and the claims were paid soon after. They kept in contact by e-mail with every update on our claim. Previous to this we had another issue with her health and this was also paid. We are very pleased with Trupanion and have recommended it to other fiends and family. Thank you for such good care

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
