Amazing Coverage after Only 1 Month

Rarely have I dealt with a Company as amazing as Trupanion. My dog Ruby, was diagnosed with Pancreatitis, only 33 days after signing up with Trupanion. She went through numerous tests, biopsies and eventually 2 emergency surgeries to try and save her life. After my $50 deductible was met, they paid out 90% of all costs. They were kind, thoughtful and I was surprised how quickly they paid out my claims.I would never go without insurance for myself, so why wouldn't have it for my baby? Thank you Trulpanion.

Broken elbow joint 4 month old Shiba Inu puppy

My beautiful 4 month old Shiba Inu puppy broke her entire elbow joint simply by slipping on tile while playing. When we took her to the vet we were so concerned about her as well as how we were going to be able to afford her health care. The vet told us her entire elbow joint was broken and she would need close to $4,000 worth of surgery and care. We broke down in tears. We are a military family and while we have savings we needed that money for my upcoming medical retirement transition. Our vet reminded us that we had just signed up for a free 30 day trial of trupanion insurance. Our jaws hit the floor. Trupanion paid 90% of the entire bill including post surgery therapy!! We hadn't even paid any premiums yet!!! We never would have insured our puppy but now we will never go without. Trupanion wa such an amazing blessing to our family. We love our puppy as another child. Without Trupanion who knows what might have happened. We are now lifetime members of Trupanion pet Insurance. We are walking and talking billboards for Trupanion now. Thank you with all out hearts from this Marine Corps family for helping us take care of our newest member of our family. Words are not enough to explain our gratitude. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!

Hassle free

Have had Trupanion for 2 years now so far only one issue with getting a reimbursement check but otherwise no issues. From my very fist claim for a foreign body removal from stomach 90% return from 3k bill. Now continuous skin infections all test and treatments covered including special food and non prescription supplements. Customer service has been very polite and helpful. Not sure of hours but they are open on weekends. I would really love to see a portion of vet/specialists office visit fee covered. As it stands no portion of visits covered. Overall I would recommend Trupanion. They are probably most expensive but you do get a return if you use it. They also cover a lot of non routine items like holistic treatment and rehab.

Could have been perfect.

The claim for treatment for cardiac disease was rejected and was received by letter which was extremely upsetting to me. I would suggest in future notify the owner by phone and provide some options sush as to appeal. Once the claim was accepted, the results were excellent. I certainly have had many claims over the 8 years and the payments have been timely and verbal communication has been excellent.

They came through when I needed them

I got my cat from a rescue shelter three years ago. She was looked at and got her shots etc. Her first year she was shy then her second she adapted and became curious and playful and loving. This third year I noticed a decrease in her activity and she was irritable at times swiping and yeowling. I am unable to get out to a vet and had to use the only one in my area that comes out to pick up the cat. I NEVER pick up my cat as she does not like that so I also could not get her in a carrier. The Cat Clinic took care of all that. They did a marvelous job with Suzie BUT the cost was prohibitive at 2700 dollars. You see she had gum and tooth problems and needed her teeth removed. She had four hours of surgery poor girl. Well I paid the vet and took a chance filing with Trupanion. I was not sure if any of Suzie's procedures would be covered but was amazed, pleased and thrilled to find Trupanion covered almost 1700 dollars worth of her vet bill. They were pleasant to deal with and very efficient. NO hassles at all. I would recommend Trupanion to anyone with a pet. It was certainly worth it to me and I will be sticking with them for sure. Check them out - you will not be sorry!

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
