GET THIS INSURANCE

I purchased this insurance when our Miniature Schnauzer was a puppy. Then she was diagnosed as having a portosystemic shunt when she was about two years old. Ever since then, she has had to stay on a special dog food and take a medication daily (for about three years now). This insurance company has been wonderful, reimbursing me with 90% of the cost of the medication and ongoing blood work and urine tests. I am so glad I purchased this insurance!!!

A great example of providing a great product.

Outstanding!

I can't even begin to say how much my family and I love Trupanion! Our Cairn Terrier ingested mushrooms, and became very I'll - so sick we almost lost him. He was in an emergency clinic for over a week. Trupanion was with us every step of the way. They worked with the clinics on pre-approvals and stayed in touch with us to assure us everything on their end was ok. It was such a relief that we could just focus on our little boy and not worry about the financial side of it. I highly recommend Trupanion - hopefully you'll never have to use it, but if you do you'll be thankful you signed up for the coverage. Thanks to all the vets, techs and the coverage we had our boy is on his way to recovery....for that we will always be grateful! Thank you!!!

Incredible company to work with!

It was difficult to decide which pet insurance to go with as it seemed confusing with what each one offered, but decided on Trupanion when I called them to explain their service and was so kind and informative. That was for years ago and flash forward now to my ten year old dog and she need surgery for a torn ACL Again the service representative was completely informative and kind. Extremely reassuring that everything will be okay and described that they would cover 90% of what was done. Including the meds, X-rays and blood work that was done when we brought her in initially to the vet. Even though we had to front the money because our vet doesn't take reimbursement from ins. companies, their turnaround time was awesome! Thank you Trupanion for everything!

No complaints!

My Sandy stopped eating and list eeight. We took her to the vet and now shes fine. Lucky we have trupanion and I filed my claim and was reimbursed very fast!!! Second time and excellent response! Tks!!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
