Responsive, efficient and simple claim management

My dog was diagnosed with anal gland adenocarcinoma. As he is young and otherwise healthy, we have decided to go ahead with the full course of treatment - surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Estimated cost of treatment plan is $14,000. Trupanion have been fabulous to deal with. They pre-approved all the treatment plan estimates within hours of submission. I submit the claims and they are handled within hours and have been paid promptly. This is so important to me as this is a stressful and worrying time. He has had his surgery now and needs constant care, so having Trupanion make the claims and payment process as easy as possible is one less task to deal with. Thank you Trupanion!

Excellent

Every phone call or claim I needed to make has been an easy and pleasant experience. Trupanipn has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. You can tell that they really are concerned for your pets well-being.

Fast Efficient Service

I took my dog to the Emergency Clinic for suspected pancreatitis/gastroenteritis. After various tests it turned out to be nothing but vomiting but with Sandy's history we were not taking any chances. The Clinic sent my bills to Trupanion directly and I was compensated within ten days of his last treatment. Also, I scanned and sent a bill for a prescription via email and was paid promptly. All in all, it was a very easy process. I like the fact that Trupanion quickly acknowledges receipt of a claim via email. This is my third claim with Trupanion and my experience has been nothing but positive.

Exceptionally happy with Trupanion

We have a dog that has food and environmental allergies. Trupanion has been with us all the way covering eligible items and reimbursing us even before we get our credit card statement. This will be an ongoing claim as we try to stabilize our dogs condition. Trupanion covers his ongoing antihistamines, and vet prescribed supplements and biotics for his immune system. Great company.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
