Trupanion is awesome

One of my dogs recently tore her ACL. Without insurance I would have struggled to pay the bill. Trupanion does direct billing, so I didn't have to wait to be reimbursed. Within half an hour of the quote being submitted fit approval before the surgery I got a call telling be exactly what was covered and explaining all the details. Every contact I've had with the staff has been great. That are super knowledgable and friendly. They really eased the stress off a bad situation .

Great insurance for your pets

I have no complaints with reimbursement and customer service. Fees do go up and usually with more coverage but you don't have option to exclude for less money. So rates do change a bit.

Much easier than expected!

I actually had been delaying filing a claim for allergy costs for my dog that had been building up thinking it would be a big hassle. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and smooth the process actually was. Thank you Trupanion!

Quick Claims Turnaround

When my 9 year old Shih Tzu mix Lexi, was diagnosed with a devastating auto immune disorder, it was a comfort to know she had pet insurance. We were able to truly focus on getting the care she needed to recover without worrying about the cost. It was Lexi's first claim, and a large one. However, in less than two weeks, the claim was approved. And each time I spoke to a customer service person, at Trupanion, they were compassionate and helpful. I'm so glad we got our dogs covered, and are telling all our friends about our positive experience with Trupanion!

Trapanion save my dog's life!

My boxer Louie became seriously sick last summer due to a tick bite. He was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain spotted fever. The disease had caused hid liver and kidneys to begin to shut down. I had to bring him to a specialty clinic to be treated. There he remained in the Intensive Care Unit for 16 days receiving multiple types of treatment. While the prognosis didn't look good for a while, they tried everything to help him recover. Some of these treatments were very expensive! Without having Trupanion pet insurance, I would not have ever been able to give Louie the treatments he needed to survive. Because of trupanion comma Louis is close to 100% recovery. He is still being treated The expenses were astronomical. Trupanion had lived up to their word and covered everything they say that they do. I would recommend this insurance to anyone and everyone! It is the smartest decision I ever made!

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
