Great Insurance

We got the insurance for our Shima in 2014 when she was 4 months old. When it was time to have her spayed the vets office ran the blood work and discovered she had liver issues. We had to have an ultrasound and all this was paid for. There have been other bills and they have also been paid promptly. I have recommended the insurance to a number of people. We had another insurance with our other dogs, but this is much better in coverage and dealing with them. Thank you for caring so much about our 4 legged children.

So happy we have Trupanion!

Both of my 11 year old chihuahuas have been insured with trupanion since the age of seven. Unfortunately, one of my chihuahuas was diagnosed with congenital heart failure. However, due to our decision to insure them both with pet insurance, we Felt very blessed to have Financial assistance to cover 90% of Clydes medical costs. I always tell my husband I don't know what we would have done if we didn't have Trupanion. Clyde's medical bills have been at least $10,000. We have been very fortunate, and are so happy we made the decision to insure them. Because of this decision, Clyde has had the best medical care and continues to do very well on medication management.

Trupanion took very good care of me and my dog.

Thank you, Trupanion! You are a blessing! My dog Merlin has an autoimmune disease. He requires special care with a highly specialized vet. Trupanion processed our claims immediately and sent us a check. My husband and I were very impressed.

Best thing we ever did!

Our dog was diagnosed with Addison's and the original bill was around $3,700. We got a check back for $3,200. Her monthly medicine is about $215, and we get a check every month from trupanion for a little over $200. Turn around time is quick and the customer service is always amazing! They have also covered costs for a cyst, heat stroke, and a nail through her paw...

Almost great

Had issues with treatments being rejected even when prior approval was received. It took 6months to resolved but was finally approved...again.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
