What I was looking for was to get information about which vet/vet clinic each of the claims for our pet had gone to.

What I was looking for was to get information about which vet/vet clinic each of the claims for our pet had gone to. I can see all the claims online, but can't see that info. The representative was extremely helpful and was willing to look up any of the ones that I wanted and even offered to create a spreadsheet for me, but I decided it wasn't that critical. So, even though what I called for was not currently possible in the system (I'd suggest this be added to the claims history online), she was still very helpful and enjoyable to speak with.

I was a bit disappointed that you guys don't have a system that lets you know which vets use the Trupanion Express.

I was a bit disappointed that you guys don't have a system that lets you know which vets use the Trupanion Express. Currently I go to Bay Animal Hospital in Manhattan Beach and they have the Express option and I love it! Im moving to Burlingame, CA and I'm looking for a vet that also has Trupanion Express and when I called Trupanion to get a list of vets that utilize that option, the girl said she didn't have such a list? I would think you would have that information somewhere in your files? Makes it a lot easier for us instead of calling around to all the vets in the area and asking them if they have it. I hope this would be a feature you have available in the future. Much more convenient.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like: Examination fees Wellness and preventive care Elective, or cosmetic procedures Sales tax, where applicable Like all pet insurance providers, Trupanion does not cover pre-existing conditions.
