Our English bulldog Bella has had multiple problems, mri's ,surgery and ongoing tests and medications.
Our English bulldog Bella has had multiple problems, mri's ,surgery and ongoing tests and medications. Triupanion has enabled us to provide the care to make her better. Without trupanion it would have been extremely difficult. I would most definitely recommend trupanion to any pet parent.

Your reimbursement time has really become too long.
Your reimbursement time has really become too long. You used to reimburse within a week. I currently have a claim I submitted on April 13 (follow up to a previously paid incident) and still no reimbursement. A fast turn around time is really important because when accidents happen, we can be faced with extensive vet bills that are not in the monthly budget and most vets want payment at time of service. I have put off paying monthly bills to pay the vet bill so waiting a month for reimbursement is stressful. Please hire more people or do whatever you need to do to be as efficient as you were when I obtained my first policy (2012)!

Trupanion is the difference on whether were able to provide quality healthcare for all pets , which in New York State are considered family members in the eyes of the law . Hence , how could you not appreciate quality coverage at an affordable rate . The customer Service is outstanding , with an objective understanding enabling them to help you with your issues to the fullest extent . Everywhere I go and speak to people about their animals , I give them the irrefutable facts of Trupanion and why it is imperative for one to have this coverage for their animal ( i.e. Loved ones ) . At the end of the day Trupanion is the difference on whether it's a good day or a bad day in my household especially when dealing with the trials and tribulations of an ailing animal.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.
Coverage
One simple plan covers new injuries and illnesses, hereditary, congenital, and chronic conditions—once the deductible is met, Trupanion pays 90% of the remaining invoice.

Payout Limits
Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.
Deductible
You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget.
Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.
Age Limits
All pets under 14 years old can enroll.
Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Accidents: 5 days
Illnesses: 30 days
Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.
Exclusions
Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries. That means we don’t cover “predictable” care costs that you can plan ahead for, like:
Examination fees
Wellness and preventive care
Elective, or cosmetic procedures
Sales tax, where applicable
