This insurance company has been fantastic to deal with.

This insurance company has been terrific. Our dog is ill with cancer and the treatments have been hard on our family. Thank goodness, dealing with Trupanion has been easy and each claim has been processed very quickly. Extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend Trupanion to other pet owners.

Trupanion saved our boxer Sawyer!

We purchased insurance for our boxer Sawyer when he was just a puppy. When you buy insurance you hope that you never need to use it. Our friends and family thought we were crazy to spend $50-60 a month on insurance for our dog. Our dog, Sawyer is part of our family and his health care was important to us. Just after his 7th birthday he started vomitting. After several tests over the course of a few weeks our vet discovered a tumor via ultra sound. We opted to do ahead with exploratory surgery to biopsy the tumor to see if it was cancer or not. We were told that the location was very close to the stomach and was a lot of risk to just do the biopsy and at that time it was unknown if the tumor could be removed or not. However we had a wonderful surgeon who was able to remove the tumor that day! It was cancer and he got ALL of it. Following surgery Sawyer's pancreas became inflamed and he needed to stay in hospital for 10 extra days. And after coming home he was on a feeding tube so we could get the proper nutrition in him to recover. It was a very stressful time. Having insurance took the added stress of money out of the equation so we could just focus on getting Sawyer better. Sawyer is home with us now and still has a long road of recovery. He's getting healthier every day! Thank you to all the great staff at our vet clinic who took such great care of him. And because of the wonderful people at trupanion for taking the time to call us during that stressful time to reassure us that the bills were covered and give us their support! Our pets will always have trupanion insurance. They are part of the family now. Thank you helping us save Sawyers life!

The Absolute Best!

My cat, Mango, endured almost 2 years of chemo, and Trupanion processed every single monthly claim immediately. They acknowledged receipt of my claim within 24 hours, sent a follow up e-mail within 2 days to let me know the claim was being reviewed, and within a week, I received notice of the amount of reimbursement, and the check was on it's way. Sadly, I lost Mango, but I can't say enough about how efficient and professional the staff is at Trupanion.

Excellent Insurance

I have tried 2 other insurance companies and neither one compared to Trupanion.I have submitted claims ranging from just over $100 to almost $10000, (lupus). I am so glad I chose a company with no yearly or lifetime limit. That can be a lifesaver.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
