Trupanion insurance is useless.

Trupanion insurance is useless. The insurance policy is iron clad NOT to pay any claim. I paid premiums for two years with absolutely nothing covered. A friend of mine told me it was one of the worst insurance policies based on Consumer Reports. I should have listened to him. Now I have thousands of dollars of bills. I could have used the money I paid each month for premiums for these bills. Never again!!! It is unconscionable.

I find that I'm having problems changing my password.

I find that I'm having problems changing my password. I have spent several hours on this over 2days and still have problems and now am locked out. I've given up for now.

'Recommend to a friend' would have been a 10, had the rates not increased from $25/month to $50/month in only 4 years.

'Recommend to a friend' would have been a 10, had the rates not increased from $25/month to $50/month in only 4 years. That is pretty significant for a very common cat/pet (domestic short hair).

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
