Pet insurance is a must and Trupanion is the best.

While it may seem a costly item for your pet(s), yet it is worth every penny. Responsible pet lovers will always have vet bills whether routine or emergency. It is a relief to know, especially for those extraordinary events, insurance coverage will be there to make every decision based on health and not cost. We've had both large and small claims on our 2 dogs. Trupanion has been easy, accommodating, and fast with the claims process. I cannot recommend Trupanion enough for every pet parent.

Dog lovers should have Trupanion

My pet had an eye injury, resulting in surgery. I submitted my claim on a Monday, and Trupanion had the money in my account Wednesday morning. We couldn't have ask for faster service or more caring people.

Was forced to put my cat down due to abrupt health issue doctors felt it was likely a heart attack or blood clot or perhaps both.

Monthly cost varies due to multiple factors including: species, breed, age at enrollment, gender, and postal code.

Coverage

Payout Limits

Unlimited lifetime payouts on eligible conditions with no payout limits-ever.

Deductible

You can choose your deductible from $0 – $1000, in $5 increments, to fit your budget. Trupanion offers a lifetime, per condition deductible meaning that once the deductible is met for an eligible condition, you never have to meet it again. That condition is covered for life. This is great for chronic conditions that can span the entirety of a pet’s life such as allergies or cancer.

Age Limits

All pets under 14 years old can enroll. Once enrolled, pets stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Accidents: 5 days Illnesses: 30 days Other providers may have additional waiting periods for congenital conditions like hip dysplasia, Trupanion does not.

Exclusions

Trupanion was developed to protect you and your pet from unexpected illnesses and injuries.
